I can't say I wouldn't listen to songs if they leaked, I mean I did listen to the snippets, but it feels pretty gross the invasion of privacy someone went through to get ahold of this material.
I also think it's pretty messed up that fans would charge other fans money for things they shouldn't even have themselves.
This whole situation is just gross, dumb, and unnecessary.

That being said, I kinda get why nothing from the snippets that leaked were ever released. They sound like rough ideas and really nothing more. If Amy ended up deciding not to pursue something to release, she should be able to walk away without fear of someone hacking and exposing it for the world. As a songwriter myself, I'd be so embarrassed to have my ideas and experimentations just thrown onto the internet like that. I feel so bad for Amy. It's stuff like this that makes me understand where a song like Snow White Queen came from.

If it makes people feel any better, this person (quote below) has a theory about how these particular songs leaked. The working theory is that there wasn't a hack on Amy's laptop or account or something, but instead the songs leaked from a press-kit that was being shopped around by an agent.

Those clips came from a press kit an agent was shopping around and the link became too accessible. Here are my theories why:

For The Chain the video game company probably asked for two covers to choose from and The Chain was chosen and properly produced while Joga stayed in the demo pile. Just a theory, but makes the most sense to me since I’ve been in this position before.

For League of Legends: this could still happen. Maybe they asked multiple artists to contribute & have a release plan. Or they hired multiple artists to make their version & picked the one they liked the most. Amy could have still been paid for it & I give her credit for trying.

I thought this was a strange leak today and it all didn’t make sense to me until now. (Yeah, I would have become a detective if I wasn’t doing music.) Anyways, hopefully it all works out and we get to hear these tunes fully produced and properly released one day.

And in case anyone is confused as to why an agent would have this press kit and be shopping her music around: it’s to land her music in film and media (commercials, video games, series, etc.) which is called sync licensing & is a great way to make money & get your music out there."

An interesting theory nonetheless.

Lol that does make me feel better actually. I'm gonna choose to believe this. And I guess it wouldn't surprise me that there are fans who would go to such an extreme for some internet attention. Why does there always have to be drama with this band?

There was a user on twitter who reported that an alleged hacker was in possession of several unreleased songs by various artists, including Evanescence. Legends Never Die, Over, Joga, and Novelmore. Apparently this hacker was friendly with the user, and then asked him to be an intermediary in the sale. Sharing with him some previews of the songs and asking for bitcoins in exchange for the files. The asking price was absurdly very high, and the fan community began to find what happened absurd, in short, in the end, the case became more famous on the internet and the hacker got angry and ended up canceling the sale and saying that if it was up to him, we would never listen to the songs he has. That was basically it. On the internet we find a lot of different information about the same case.
