Amy screaming at the computer is a mood indeed๐ Some parts were really funny, it was supossed to be dramatic but I laughed. I liked seeing them at their homes, makes me realized I want to see more of that in a documentary.

This song deserved a better video, fuck ๐ really. This video made me think it would be interesting if they filmed themselves during all the recording process and release it later as a documentary. Could be interesting. The chat was moving ultra high speed so they only commented back to a few people.

I just can't think they could have done better with the video. I love to watch them working on the song and just living their lives, much more interesting and touching than an acted video. According to IG, there has been a YT live chat with Amy. I can't see her replies anywhere though?
100% agree! It gets the perfect score from me despite all the limits they had for making it. I couldn't expect a better video even if everything was normal and they could be together with a pro recording crew by their side. I could catch some of the replies and shared them in my twitter btw.

I think recording from home made the video super interesting. I have to ask though, are all homes in the US white? With white walls? And white furniture? xD

I've always heard that American architecture is very "open" compared to other places, and white probably helps "open up" spaces. I just wanted to share this here from my Twitter because I thought it was funny XD

Did someone screenshot the rest of the comments Amy made during the premiere?
I only captured these
''This is who we really are'' ''Shermie'' ''That's my favorite part'

Oh yeah you were waiting for the video to hear the song! how was it man? Absolutely phenomenal. I can see why some people were a bit hit and miss about the intro, but it definitely needs that contrast. Once it all kicks in though, bam. And the guitar tone is just perfect for me. I'm hearing a shed load of Orange amplification mixed with Amy's vocals and it's the best thing in the world. And the video is so relatable right now. I love how it was actually quite funny in places too (Will on his chopper was my personal highlight XD). Definitely a whirlwind of emotions. I thought about this last night after reading some comments about how it doesn't really sound like them anymore, and I think that's not true at all. What I love about this song is that, while it's SUPER different, this is totally an Evanescence song. Each album had different sounds, but at the core, it's Amy, and what she's feeling and listening to at the time. Of course we're not going to get the same music we got nearly 20 years ago because not only does she grow up, she's influenced by new things musically. But what really got me thinking about all of this is that the verses in this song sound like her cover of "Halfway Down the Stairs" and even "Love Exists." "Halfway" is actually in my top 3 Amy solo songs because of its whimsy, and it's totally her. So when we hear the electronic sounds, that's just as "Amy" as her playing the piano. I've said it a few times, but I'm convinced this is what EV3 would have sounded like without Wind-up getting in the way, but that's not to say that I don't like that album because I adore it. I'm thinking that all of that drama with the label may have been a blessing. Maybe it wasn't the right time to do all of the electronica/rock song. There's a chance that it may not have been as good and as polished. But NOW...the best lineup...the most creative team...they have honed in their skills over the years, and now I believe they're capable of balancing all of the elements. Also, at first I missed the string arrangements, but after listening to this song, I don't think it was needed. That being said, I absolutely expect some string arrangements later down the line.

Omg this is gold! I can totally relate to Amy playing videogames and everyone chilling with their pets.

The song was a slow grower for me but I donโt mind that. After listening on repeat Iโve fallen in love with it. It feels like to me the early EPs and demos and The Open Door had a baby. I definitely get that nostalgic 90โs vibe but it still feels modern, a bit fairytale, a bit rock, a bit grunge.
I also actually really like the video, it feels very personal and like weโre getting a real glimpse into how the band live (at least during these strange times). I think it goes well with the vibe of the song that itโs a bit low-budget and simple.
Really interested to know what song they originally intended to release first. Looking forward to hearing more. ๐

They already stated that this wasn't the single they wanted to release first from this album (anyone remember BMTL was meant to be the 2nd single and GU the 1st? ๐ง๐ค๐). They changed it due to what they and the rest of the world including us are going through. Therefore, it made sense to release this now as everyone can relate to it plus people need something like this to help support them etc. I like the video upon seeing it for the second time. I've liked all their videos do far, each different - maybe I'm just not too fussy and actually understand them as musicians.

Okay everything I said from before has completely changed. Especially after seeing the video the song opened up in a way I didnโt receive during the first listen. I am very much enjoying this sign and as simple as the video is it captures so much emotion. Has me on the verge of tears throughout the video.

When I first listened to the song I wondered why they decided to make a ballad the first single but reading the interview it makes a lot of sense ad this song wasn't really meant to be the first single but the fact that it works so much with the situation happening in the world right now just gives it more meaning and depth and with the video it's something a lot of people can relate to right now and it's sad but beautiful at the same. I loved the video and the message, really shows how passionate and creative this band is
