My faves just going by the previews: Stand by Me. I'm not tired. Hello Goodbye. Alice (love it!). The end of the book.

I'm Not Tired sounds so cute! And Little Bird might be one of my favorites.

Alice sounds like it's got Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody influences.

"I'm Not Tired" is the only song I like so far. Looking forward to hearing the whole songs and then maybe I'll buy the ones I like. I just don't understand the bitterness among some fans. My life will go on even if I don't like something Amy has released. ^^ I'm glad for everyone, who finds the music enjoyable!

I hope nobosy sees this as a diss because I swear it's not but I've always found it to be a thing wonder how Amy sounds so much better singin other people's songs than her own both live and in recordings. Of course nobody can sing her music as well as she can, it's her specialty and own territory after all. However, I guess maybe since she's always pushing her own boundaries in Ev's records, when the time to sing something like "Stand By Me" it comes out smooth and with ease. So, while I don't particularly see myself spending too much time listening to "Rubber Duckie", I'm thrilled two already awesome sounding new covers from her in "Stand by Me" and "Hello Goodbye". THRILLED.
From HER OWN new songs in the record I can say from the previews that I love the vocal work on "I'm not tired" and both the melody and style seem lovely and I have already found myself singing he little bit we know from time to time, it's catchy! So look forward that one. "The End of the Book" sample shook me when I heard it, it's so beautiful and childlike and at 23 years old I related so much, I'm already kind of in love with the chorus and concept of that one. "If you're a star" sounds like a beautiful little ballad that Amy might even choose to play for a quiet moment dedicated to her kid at an Evanescence concert, wouldn't stick out, I think. Still need to hear the whole thing but it seems like a very nice song beyond the fact that it's meant to be for kids. Her "Goodnight my love" cover with her dad seems lovely too by the sound of it.

Also, for me personally, whenever I've tried to make up a song I've always thought it was harder to sing than something another artist did because I don't have another voice to blend with in my head. There's no standard. But maybe that's just a me thing. *shrugs*

Absolutely agree. I've said this before as well, I think it has something to do with what you said about her own songs been so difficult and demanding, so when she sings someone else's songs it comes out just naturally for her and her voice sounds so clean and beautiful like she's doing no efforts at all, super comfortable. Plus, it probably has to do as well with the fact that she's a fan of these songs/artists she covers so you can really tell that by the way she sings these songs. Agreed also on the fact that no one sings her songs the way she does, I keep hearing people's covers and I'm only into a few, however when she covers a song, even if it's a song I like or a classic like Stand by Me, it sounds really good, like she really did justice to it. I like this children's album more than I expected, sure I only listened to the previews but I really like what I hear and looks like I could add some of these to my permanent playlist in the future. I'm not tired is so nice, so catchy, I keep singing that preview just like you all the damn time actually. I'm really intrigued with Alice, I want to hear the whole thing.

Anyone find it odd that Josh isn't in the making of video nor has he ever appeared on any of Amy's songs? It doesn't seem like he's appeared on this children's album either but Amy has said he's sung to Jack too. Josh is ever so elusive! I think he does it on purpose. XD

XD Yea I guess it depends, he knows show crazy some fans can get so I think he stays away for the most part. I think keeping a low profile makes him unrecognisable to most fans if hes just wandering around, he won't get bothered. But he has in the past attended meet and greets and even come out with Amy after shows and taken photos for fans of them with Amy, but these days I think he just stays away with their son to keep him safe.
