I love the lyrics!!!! It's such a departure from Evanescence in the most wonderfully whimsical way. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is my all time favorite book and I'm huge fan of many fantasy books/films. Dream Too Much definitely resonates with that part of my personality more than anything I've ever heard and I can't wait to hear the full album. I don't care if I'm the only 26 year old in the world blasting a children's album even though I don't have any kids. lol.

Edit: I also really like the way she's incorporated her art style into the whole feel of this album. It looks like the Octopi etc. have finally found their musical counterpart! Yeah, totally, I was going to say this and then forgot. you can tell she's having a blast using all these ideas in a project, I'm glad for her cause now it feels she can finally express her complete artistic self, and also glad for us because we get to see a new side of her.

I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea, especially when it's geared towards kids. Still, it's already annoying to see the "Please go back to dark, gothic stuff!" comments. It's one thing when it comes to stuff like 'Push the Button' but this is made for and inspired by her family. Why would it be dark and depressing?
Anyway, the tracklist is interesting. I wonder if 'Alice' is in fact 'Alice in Wonderland' inspired. And I assume 'Stand By Me' is a cover of the famous song. I'm eager to here that one. Not that I'm a huge fan of the song, but Florence Welsh recently released a cover of the song for the new Final Fantasy soundtrack. Please don't make me choose!

Pre-ordering this when I have the money next week. I can't wait to hear the full album. I actually really like the title song. It's fun.
I'm sick of all the comments too. People are commenting on her weight too. People are so rude.

I try not to care for these comments but idk. I'm getting really worked up and anxious over it. How are people so stupid and idk, off? How can anyone even think about saying a negative comment about this? I can't comprehend it and I don't understand it.
Hell I get the feeling about not getting a Ev album. I'm a lil bummed about it too. But for god's sake it's out of my control and it's the most minor and petty thing ever so WHY care so much? I don't freakin care if she's your queen. I don't get the idea behind throwing insults towards her like "she's a fake goth" and whatnot. For goodness sake she's like 34 years old and has a CHILD. All that goth bullshit is just that, bullshit anyways. Even so called real goths don't give a shit about the silly concept in the end of the day.
The woman made an album with her family containing songs made for children. They put their heart into it and instead of keeping it to themselves they are sharing it. Like come on end of the day if she was selfish she would have made yall 40 Evanescence albums.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Okay... rant over. I apologise to everyone who had to read that. I had to get that out of my chest.

You know, people complain about not getting a real Ev album and yes, it's been 5 years since Ev3, but if you think about it, Amy has had a pretty productive solo career over the last 2 years or so. In 2014 we got Aftermath. 2015 Recover Vol. 1 (with videos!). And now, in 2016, we get Dream Too Much and also, Speak To Me to look forward to. We are getting stuff a lot faster than we ever did under Wind-Up.

Some people wanna keep living in 2004. Anyway, it seems Amy lost weight rather than gained it, imo. Like a significant amount.
--back on topic--
I really enjoy the song we've gotten, and I'm curious about the video. Has anyone managed to figure out the lyrics to Dream Too Much yet? I feel like someone needs to do that.

I think people misunderstand and think that just because Amy did something creatively different like Aftermath or this kids album and this is the new Amy and that this is how it is always going to be going forward, which is not the case. Amy is just doing something different to express herself. She has stated that she is still going to focus on "adult" music, we may even get another Ev album eventually. But people freak out over absolutely nothing. People need to chill, just enjoy what shes doing and go with the flow, if you don't like it then just wait for the next project and it might be Ev or another solo thing and it might satisfy what you are after, it's not like OMFG Amy is only going to write movie soundtracks and kids albums FOREVAAAAAAA.
P.S. Once we get more album artwork we need a Dream Too Much theme!

I read those comments everywhere every single time Amy puts out something that isn't Ev. Tbh most of them sound like they got stuck in 2003 or something, like those bandwagon fans you know? They better don't get their hopes up too much because if we ever get another Ev album they might go the Lillywhite route or something similar now that they got rid of Wind-Up and I'm not sure they are going to like the new approach.

I am not sure it's my cup of tea... but I love that she's exploring all these other ways to let her creativity out! It is beautiful and sweet to see how she did this for and with her family.

I was going to mention the track "Alice" too. Based on the whimsical theme of the title track, I think Alice Liddell will make an appearance at some point. And I'm completely okay with that. One of my all time favourite novels. I was working in Oxfordshire today and the whole time I was looking out for landmarks associated with the original stories, all because Dream Too Much has put me in that kind of mood. (In case nobody's noticed yet, I am in love with this song ). Sooooooo happy right now

Just heard the new song Amy released in Youtube. IT'S FREAKING AMYZING! Is her new children's album available on Spotify?
