On topic: I really think this interview/article is nonsense and doesn't even offer information about what the title says. How would 93.3 get an audio of two or three things that were said in multiple interviews though? I have to agree with this. I refuse to believe in anything until an official statement comes out. Media always publish a ton of BS and this doesn't look even half legit. We can expect the movie score and L&L but a new album seems way too unrealistic at least for now.

I'm confused by this thing. Everytime when Evanescence decided to take a break, it was followed by deep radio silence until something really new popped out. Why on Earth would the award-winning @graffonmusic at Philly rock station concluded that now it's a good time to publicate a 19sec piece of OLD phone interview with Amy?
Yes. Because he "writes regularly for Billboard and Billboard.com, the New York Times Features Syndicates, Journal Register Newspapers, Revolver, Guitar Aficionado, Music Connection and other periodicals."
Is this happening because of the War Story premiere? Or because of the Billboard Underground promo? Fffuuuuuu.
I still believe there will be EV4 sometimes within next three years or so.

I'm sorry guys to disappoint you in my first post here, but... When I read this article i had a feeling, that I heard/read it somewhere before. And there it is:www.billboard.com/news/evanescence-s-lee-on-2011-album-success-1007868152.story#/news/evanescence-s-lee-on-2011-album-success-1007868152.story Let's compare: The "New" interview:The old interview:Again: The "new" interview:T he old interview:And the last one: "new":old:Don't you think is too similiar? (Btw, sorry for my english, I'm not native speaker!)Yes you found the hot water! Congratulation! I Dont think i will say anything else or i will get censored by admins again... (creating dramas) You will see a patern of lies on every single interview. And imagine how Amy Lee will fill a suit againts Wind Up Records - filling a suit againts her sibling brother Ben Robert Moody - co owner of the company? 1 - Amy and Ben are not siblings, they're not even related. 2 - Ben doesn't own Wind - up records, what the hell?! 3 - You are not the guy from YouTube that thinks Amy is a vicious vampiress, are you? 4 - Which alternative universe are you from? On the other hand, about all these; I knew it was too good to be true. Damn.

EVERYBODY'S LYING! But seriously, I doubt there'll be a new Evanescence record soon and, as much as I love their music, I really honestly hope the next album isn't for another year at least. Evanescence work at their best with long breaks and I really would rather this whole thing with the label (and any other dramas) blow over first to allow Amy to reflect on the experiences, draw out inspiration and just be relaxed and not feel rushed, because there really is no point. I really do feel for musicians in positions of fame because we all want great new music and musicians want to give us all great new music, but sometimes you've just got to stop and breathe and not feel rushed even whilst you're taking breaks. I'm pretty certain there'll be another album and it'll almost certainly rule even more than the previous albums. I also have a feeling that Amy and probably most of the other guys, too, have reached a breaking point through having their sound dictated by people outside of the band and won't release an album until they feel free of this. They may even release an album (or EP?) of purely Evanescence material for no greater reason than to prove a point to these people.

I do not think there will be a new Evanescence album this year or next. Especially since the James Montgomery interview. Amy said there was another offer to work on another movie score. Plus with what she said; she doesn't feel pressured to release stuff, make singles, etc...; it doesn't seem like she's even sat down to even write Evanescence stuff. Unless, I'm interpreting the James Montgomery interview wrong, then by all means, please correct me.

James Montgomery interview doesn't confirm or deny anything about EV4. but if Ev is not a part of Windup anymore, at the very least it means that we'll probably hear some news about a new contract and a new label this year. with Steve Lillywhite tweets and what Amy said in TMZ interview, i highly hope that we'll get an announcement this year. Steve and EV are not going to start a new project from the beginning. they have an unfinished project on their hands.

Exactly. And Amy pointed out she still has material (which presumably includes the Lillywhite material more likely than not) that she not surprisingly is still as interested in releasing as fans are hoping she is. She's probably looking to write a few new songs and release them in an album alongside some original material she wrote with Lillywhite that we're are wishing for and anticipating and have since the Twitvids. There's no doubt in my mind Ev3s conversion and the dismissal of the Lillywhite material was forced and ivolved much convincing with Amy more concerned about getting an album out ASAP without risking the label stalling her album longer after the hiatus.

This is a very good point. With Wind-Up seemingly out of the picture (if this lawsuit works out in Amy's favour, this will confirm this in my mind), it does leave the band in a position where they could potentially consolidate/release the Lillywhite stuff very, very soon. As much as I'm still sceptical about a full band album/reunion this year or early next, it is entirely possible that some older music, held back by label policies, could find their way out of the woodwork even weeks from now...

You've misinterpreted what I said. I've never said the interview denied there being a new album coming. I just said that I feel that it seems unlikely a new album will see light this year or next year because of what Amy said in the James Montgomery interview. Yeah, Steve and Amy have about 12, 2009 session songs on their hands but the 93.3 radio interview thing doesn't seem to be legit, since the words quoted in the article are things that Amy said in various *previous* interviews. There also have been numerous interviews where Amy said something along the lines that the 2009 demos wouldn't be the same, they'd have to be different, if they did release them because of legal stuff. Now, I don't know the stipulations of the Wind-Up contract and the new Bicycle contract, but going by what little I do know and what's been said in the past, don't think the Lillywhite Session will happen because they're demos and therefore weren't transferred to Bicycle so Wind-Up would most likely still have the rights to those songs. And who said that Amy and Steve were going to get together for the next album? No one...
Anyway, nothing has been said, from an OFFICIAL source about a new studio album. Anything discussed among fans right now would just be speculation until official new has been released.

I don't understand why everyone is doubting that we'll get a new Ev album soon. First of all, 2014 just begun. At this point in 2011, the Ev camp was rather silent, and had been since June 2010 when they left the studio. We hadn't heard a peep about any new music until early April 2011, and the album came out in October of the same year. Also, other than Will Hunt playing with Device, none of the other band members have really been active in other projects, so the band is pretty much ready to go if Amy needs them. As for the MTV article, the War Story score is already completed, so Amy does not need to work on that anymore. I believe that it is too early to make assumptions at this point. I think it's awesome that Amy has found a creative outlet outside of Ev, and am definitely excited about hearing it. However, there is always the possibility that she will return to Ev. I believe that we should remain optimistic that we will eventually get a new Ev album, hopefully in the near future.

This. btw, isn't Device tour over? all the band members are making their Instagram accounts these days. isn't this weird a little? remember when they announced their official twitter accounts?

So, I'm confused now... Is this before or after Amy said she's writing new material, but not for Evanescence?
With Amy having a baby, I don't think we'll get a new Ev record this year anymore, and that's absolutely for the best... but if there are left-over tracks from the self-titled record, releasing one of those surely wouldn't hurt! =D

I'm sure Amy won't leave us in the dark too much longer. Valentine's Day is about to rear its head once again.
