I'm not going to get too excited until there's some kind of official announcement, but that's very promising! Let's hope 2014's the year for Amy getting in that mode. yep, this but still, good news

Yes. I've merged the threads. Earlier Zero79, you said something about hearing the 2011 stuff. Did you mean 2009 stuff? The 2011 stuff was Ev3 material. XD Anyway, does anyone else feel like this quote was already said before? Idk why but, it seems vaguely familiar to me... We should probably wait until an official (from Evanescence/Amy) word is said before getting too excited guys.

Well that's stupid that the article says that. There wasn't anything left over from the 2011 era because we got all 16 songs that they were able to record (out of the 19 that were written). Or unless it's supposed to mean that she's coming through the hardships of 2011/Evanescence era. That's how I took it anyway... Why can't articles be more specific.

I think that it's supposed to be what they were writing for the 2011 realease (aka what they were doing before Ev3) I hope we get to hear "Lost Whispers" and "Stomping Steve". They sounded so amazing. I also hope they incorporate the Taiko Drums idea somewhere in new material. Besides we see that Amy has a lot of cool instruments in her posession that she loves, like the theremin, so I hope she uses them in whatver she makes, whenever she makes it

Okay but, how are they going to release new music without a record label? Doesn't anyone think it's a little fishy for Ev to come out with new music in the middle of their rumored Wind-up legal battle?!?

Ugh! I hate confusion! slipknaughtybynature: Evanescence will be moved to Bicycle since Wind-Up sold Ev's (as well as other artists) back catalog and past and future master works to Bicycle.

It would be cool though if they started their own record lable, just for themselves, to have full control of the music. Who was it who did that quite recently? *scratches head*

who said that there was no other material/demos/ideas/stuff beyond Ev3 and lillywhite sessons? amy said she has a whole box of her recordings, "ideas", in her apartment... shachath i believe that independedt label would definitely mean lower budget = no touring to riddiculous places. i live in ridiculous space. i want to see Ev.

Absolutely, but I would chose music from a lable of their own over one they've released through a major. Besides, I think Ev hasn't played here since 2007 so yeah, I'm used to the thought of never seeing them And, just saying, crowdfunding is really popular these days. I know Amanda Palmer at least used to crash at people's places just in order to get out and play shows. So nothing is impossible!

If they prove there was a breach of contract. maybe the lawsuit is a good way for them the finally completely break off their obligations with the label
A lot of people have their own labels and are successful enough, like Jack White. Own label does not necessarily mean low budget. It depends how much money they are willing to sink into it. Maybe no tour though. I had a feeling Amy hates the touring part anyway - I dunno. She just gives off that vibe with some of the interviews I've seen her in. .
