^ Toilet joke beaten to the punch, dammit! The "haunted me" note is an F#3 if I'm not mistaken, and her lowest note is Eb3 in Cloud Nine (in the background of the whoa parts in the beginning). There's also the E3s in Haunted, GU and LC and F3 in LOO. There are "fried" B2s in MLB but I don't think they count. Wait... what is LOO an acronym for? Ha, I think she meant The Only One...but loo would still make for a very good acronym. ;D I've always found MOS hard to sing, not because of the notes, but because of the rhythm of the song. And I swear, every time she says "anymore" I hear "never enough". I can't keep up with these pronunciations, ha...

@he-Ran: Thanks for the clarifications! Drifter: Yeah, right? I don't know where they got that "any more" part from. It doesn't fit the chorus, like, at all. xD (Hell, it even makes more sense as "never enough"...)

I may be wrong, since I don't feel like listening and verifying this, but don't the backing vocals in MOS say "never enough" while she says "anymore"? Something like... "Don't -oooh- wanna play your -ooooooh- game -never en-anymore"? *shrug* I can't remember.

Have Ev ever performed End of the Dream live? It sounds like Amy's part would be hard to do live.

Sure thing but which ones would those be then? Could you give me some specific examples? The "haunted me" note is an F#3 if I'm not mistaken, and her lowest note is Eb3 in Cloud Nine (in the background of the whoa parts in the beginning). Notes with vocal fry, which is that low vibrator-y kind of sound people make to be annoying. I can't think of anything like that in MLB, but I never listen to that song.... *shrug*

There was this one girl in my choir class in high school that had that kind of voice. I just passed it off as she didn't have a strong voice, then I learned it's called "Vibrato" lol. But it's like if someone is trying to sing a steady "Ooo" is like OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo... I can't think of any notes like that in MLB either but there are a few songs where Amy does/has vibrato.

Not quite vibrato (which we get lots more of from Amy on Ev3, thankfully.... This choir girl must have been terrible at vibrato if it made her sound weak... Though, that actually makes sense, since an undeveloped voice is probably a bit wobbly like that. Most people use it to add strength or longevity to a note... Or people like me who just do it naturally... With varying results, heh... I'm getting distracted...), vocal fry is putting out air when your vocal chords are mostly relaxed. You can hear it in every day speech... Sort of low, crackly voices that are kind of lazy sounding... This lady explains it in this video, heh.

Many songs cause trouble for me because I don't belt it out as fiercely as Amy; I switch to my head voice. It never sounds as loud or as emotional on most Evanescence songs, in my opinion. If I were to just sing karaoke and not be able to hear Amy's voice as I'm singing, I think I'd have more confidence.

I'm male, and have a rather deep voice, so I normally sing each Ev song an octave lower. Snow White Queen, Going Under, and The Only One are my biggest challenges because the low notes are too low for me. Haunted is hard as well...
