How about Lose Control or Anything for you? Now see, with Lose Control I start to feel like I'm committing some kind of sex crime against myself. It makes me feel creepy and like there's some kind of hotline I could call to reevaluate my life. With AFY once it gets to Amy's gasping part I'm completely flaccid. ;D There's an Evsong for being at the beach. i agree, Melt, i don't think there's a good Ev song to masturbate to. Lose control has it's sexyness, but nothing to masturbate to, and the lyrics are kinda creepy, so, nop.

I don't think I need to explain why someone would listen to Say You Will, the message is just there for you.
Understanding is one special song for me. I listen to it when I feel really sad, lonely and weak. Same with Hello and All that I'm Living for, for some reason I don't know.
Everybody's Fool is my angry song. Whenever I feel like I've been deceived, this song just speaks to me, for obvious reasons. The video helps too. Call Me When You're Sober could work as well.
When I feel lovelorn I listen to So Close.

But actually, almost every Evsong does make me feel happy/happier, even though it may be a sad song. Weird, maybe it's just because of hearing Amy's voice or whatever. Unless maybe TLSIWOY. If I'm happy, I don't wanna hear that one, cause it'll make me feel terrible. I can agree with this. All Evanescence songs just make me feel like I'm not alone in what I'm feeling; like Amy understands. The lyrics spell out what I'm feeling more than any other lyrics or poetry I've ever read, so it's sort of like I let my personal feelings out each time I listen to them. And you're right about The Last Song I'm Wasting On You... it's so sad! I put Hello in that catagory, too. I disagree. I was trying to masturbate earlier and I just couldn't find the right Ev song. Clearly, Evanescence doesn't have enough male nudity in their music. .. Why do you always have to tell us everything ? |

I've noticed here more recently that I flock to an Ev cd when I'm feeling very much one polar emotion. Whether it's extremely happy/hyper or in a depression. Especially The Open Door: if I'm feeling good it makes it even better (cuz its my favorite) and if I'm doing bad it calms me by the end.
But specifically:

I feel like Disappear was written specifically about the way I was dealing with my anxiety. "How much longer are you gonna give into the fear? Holding you down until you're frozen." I'm not letting it hold me down anymore, so that song always makes me feel powerful.

I listen to Erase This when I want to remember why I love Evanescence. I listen to Fallen when I want to remember why I no longer listen to Fallen... I listen to TOD when I'm drawing. It's good mood music.... The Other Side has sort of become my go-to Evanescence song lately. If I want to play a song (piano/singing, not listening) that's what The Other Side is right now. I wrote my own piano part for the song and it's just super fun, hehehe. |

Lately I listen to Made of Stone daily for some weird reason.  I don't know what that says about myself. Maybe it's just me though, I relate the moanings in the begining with part of the soundtrack of "Perfume", though I read the book first, the movie turns me on for some reason (maybe the orgies and stuff) so C9 is pretty hot in my opinion. Then if you let it slip to Snow White Queen it's good too because the guitars are skin-crackin'. On another note whenever I masturbate (which doesn't happen a lot) I always listen to The Change afterwards (Live in the Netherlands).
