You're the only 'survivor' from Evanescence. How were those years without the band? They were okay, I mean, Evanescence is not dead and we've grown a lot, and now we are the best band ever. It's been 9 years since I'm the "only original member." We get along, we have released 3 records and the tour is ending.
Have you ever thought about a solo career? I'm gonna have time off after this tour, and the guys will work on their own projects. I wrote some songs that don't fit on Evanescence style, but without a purpose.
You said the songs from your new record are "liberating." Do you free yourself from what? It's hard to explain. To me, music fills me with knowledge, with all the feelings, and I have to release them, and the music is a tool to do this. Many things heal my pains, my fears and even my love.
You've said you're not the same person when you were 21. How Amy Lee categorizes the sound of the band? I think I can give comfort to people, a good friendship, or I try to do it, at least. As a band, we're the best version of ourselves.
What do you know about Peru? I know it's a beautiful country and your food is spicy, and I love spicy food. See you on Oct 25th at Estadio de San Marcos. Source

Some of the interviews in Latin America are not quite good...
We had an interview with Amy from Paraguay too, and the guy who asked the questions did not even speak English very well. His questions were so dumb. One of them was: Is it true that lobster is your kryptonite? if I ad interviewed her....

No wonder she was so stressed out over the interviews...

Same questions again and again yes, she already said somewhere that the "spicy food" is the only thing she knows about Peru, well, better than nothing... she plays with the words sometimes because she doesn't want to say the same stuff again, it must be boring.
