It's moments like this that do not put Ev and their management in a favorable light, for me. To be that close and have it yanked away.
Sometimes I feel like we get treated like crap, you know? Sorry, so depressed about this right now. Just another 'Your Love' situation.

Well, the good news is that they probably have plans for the song if they're being so protective over it.

Why would they have plans? It's just all about copyright. First ET and now this, yeah, I really feel like management treats us like sh*t, and we're the most dedicated fans. Although the fault here lies with the people who were dumb enough to tweet Amy about it before the auction ended.

Although the fault here lies with the people who were dumb enough to tweet Amy about it before the auction ended. We're talking about copyright infringement here - which the music industry take quite seriously - after all it deprives artists of their income. The management moved very fast and effectively to take the cd off eBay - once they knew about it - it will probably never to see light ever again... We can only hope it will reappear at some point in the future - no doubt in a polished final version I don't think the management of any band particularly worry about the fans very much - as long as they buy the albums/merchandise and go to the shows. They should though. At least Amy acknowledges that without the fans the band would be nothing - and she's grateful for our loyalty. Maybe she should pass on the message to the faceless ones sitting in their WindUp offices........

^ I agree with what you said except I would slightly alter it to "the music industry take it quite seriously cause it deprives them of their income." We just equal sales and money and stats to them.

Yeah, we are nothing but numbers in the bank account of Wind-Up which is totally dumb because if they treat us like this for every next album there will be less and less people to make them richer. If they would just give us what they promised, we would never have to go to such lengths to get it. Personally I live and breathe for the band. I'd never steal a song if I could buy it. I know I'm not the only one. So why don't they simply sell the damn song if we are all so willing to pay for it? I don't get it. And then again, how come they can never protect a whole album from leaking and half the world downloads it a month or so before the official release but they are protecting this song as if it is the holy grail? It doesn't make sense at all. They have all they need to keep our interest alive and the money coming but for some reason they don't do anything. I'm seriously pissed. I really hoped that we would finally hear IYDM but now all I have is this You Tube video to remind me how close we were until somebody came up with the brilliant idea to contact the management.

I think it is the record label, not the management. I understand we are all upset, but I have been part of both situations ... Downloading a leak and financially backing a project. It costs thousands to record a song - renting out th studio, hiring an engineer, hiring a producer, renting instruments (pro bands don't usually use their own instruments to record, especially if they are trying to get a certain sound), etc.. Also it takes at LEAST 18 hours to record a song if there is a lot of Production involved, but usually more hours. To shell out that money and have it leak out just so ... That's really frustrating. They own half the rights of the song but own all of the rights to that particular RECORDING of the song. They have the right to do whatever they want with it.
However, if Ev decide to record it on their own time with their own money, they can release it. That is why on the interview with Amy Lee Brasil, she mentions that they can't release those particular recordings of your love (which is owned by legends and lyrics) and the lillywhite sessions (which is owned by the record company). It seems like their are intentions to rerecord and release them. I bet they are just waiting to be formally released by their record label.
Having said all that, I still want to hear all of it!!!

Although the fault here lies with the people who were dumb enough to tweet Amy about it before the auction ended. Yeah...Seems like it'd be common sense to kinda keep it quiet until the auction was over.
