I'm going through a Bat for Lashes period right now, I tend to do that, I hear an artist for months and then stop, but then I listen to one song casually and get into it all over again.
I'm thinking Amy could do something from Fur and Gold. Maybe What's A Girl To Do or Trophy, or Horse and I.

I know I've probably said this multiple times, but I'd die to hear a studio version of Ev's Orestes cover. Amy's vocal melody is absolutely breathtaking. I just kind of get the impression that Amy's not so much an APC/Tool fan as the old members were, so I doubt it'll happen now  |

I listened to it (or tried to) and it sounds really good... Too bad everyone is screaming and talking over it! I think they were actually playing at a bar. I was just thinking, 'Geeze, stfu people!!!' :\ Wish someone could edit out all the screaming, etc... |

Yeah, I think people have tried. There are quite a few videos on Youtube with varying degrees of success, but when you've got somebody screaming at a similar pitch to Amy whilst she's singing, it's nearly impossible. That's the only recording of them playing it out there, and even with all of the background noise (I come from a more classical school of thought when it comes to live performances, so I've always thought that making excessive noise during a live rendition of a piece of music is actually quite rude and I've never fully understood it myself) it's still quite possibly my favourite cover of anything, ever.

This is my favorite song from Regina's new album and this AMAZING performance made me want to see Amy cover it. She'd do a good job with it, I bet it would sound so different from Regina's version.

I always wanted Amy and the guys write a song about "Evanescence". about the band itself. about the band members. about the fans. about the concerts and their atmospheres when the fans scream so loud and rock hard. or at least make a cover of songs from the other bands with such purpose. in EV4 maybe. one can dream.  |

Well you know, princeofpersia, I think Amy said Lost in Paradise was somewhat adressed to the fans. But yeah that would be great  I think we might get a Soundgarden tribute during the summer tour. I would be surprised if Amy and the guys didn't do anything to honor Chris Cornell. |

I know that about Lost in Paradise but I mean a song with a with a rock 'n' roll soul. about the stage and performing for the fans as a rock band. something like an anthem for all Evfans around the world with lyrics that directly mention the relationship between band members and fans and the feelings they share in a concert. fast, loud, crazy!!  and yeah. I hope they put 4th of July in the set list again at least for a few concerts. |
