"My life has been the new album" (2009)

On October 15, 2009, Amy Lee was interviewed by GZH about their headlining at the Maquinária Festival in São Paulo in 2009. She also talked about the third album.

Evanescence arrives in Brazil on November 8th and will perform at the Maquinaria Festival. In an interview with G1, pianist, singer and songwriter Amy Lee, 27 years old, guarantees that the follow-up to "The Open Door", released in 2006, is already being prepared. The unreleased album should come out in the second half of 2010.

"My life has been the new album", she says.

"I didn't write anything last year [2008], I don't know what happened, it just didn't come out. But then something happened this year, I started going crazy. I'm writing a lot of music lately, I'm going in a direction completely new and amazing. I really wish I could show the new stuff at the show, but I will wait until the album is out. I'm working on things related to the new album almost every day."

A fashion fan, Amy Lee usually makes some of her own clothes and is already planning the costumes she will wear at the Brazilian festival.

"I love to think I'm wearing a work of art and I'm always worried about what to wear. I found a stylist two months ago to create a new outfit for the show. The stage allows us to freak out more about these things."

aww, i still remember the colorful dress she wore twice back then, i wonder if she still has it! It was so cool to see her enjoying it on stage again. 

edit: i just found out she had it in sydney 2012 as well!
