RIAA has given "Fallen" the Diamond certificate for selling 10 million copies in the United States. It's the album's first update since 2008, when it was certified 7x multi-Platinum for 7 million copies. This marks Evanescence's first Diamond certificate ever! Now, the band enters the list of artists who have received RIAA's Diamond certificate, joining Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Whitney Houston, and other legends. Here are the band's last RIAA updates prior to this one: - December 2020 - "Evanescence" (2011) - Gold, 500.000 copies - April 2019 - "Bring Me To Life" (2003) - 3x multi-Platinum, 3.000.000 copies - January 2019 - "My Immortal" (2003) - Platinum, 1.000.000 copies - June 2009 - "The Open Door" (2006) - 2x multi-Platinum, 2.000.000 copies - February 2009 - "Call Me When You're Sober" (2006) - Platinum, 1.000.000 copies - December 2004 - "Anywhere But Home" CD (2004) - Gold, 500.000 copies - December 2004 - "Anywhere But Home" DVD (2004) - 5x multi-Platinum, 500.000 copies Most of the band's certificates are extremely old, so it's most likely that most of their releases have sold thousands or millions more copies after their last update, specially "The Open Door", which has now probably sold at least one more million copies since it's last update in 2009. Hope Evanescence's record label requests for all of their certificates to be updated so we can keep track of their current numbers! You can check all of Evanescence's RIAA certificates here.
