Amy mentioned that the song had been completely revamped, so I'm hoping it incudes even more synths Is this from the Radio.com interview? No, from the Nylon interview: Just wondering how different it will sound from its 2016 live incarnation. Hoping it will not be so heavy. Lol. Was Use My Voice supposed to be the first single for the album? Or have we still not heard that one yet? Yes, Use My Voice was originally intended to be the first single. It was confirmed on this interview published yesterday.

So no piano ballad at all? *heavy sigh* They can do what they want, but the reason I fell in love with Evanescence was because of all the elements they combined into their earlier music to make their distinct sound. Amy's haunting voice, melodic piano, crunchy guitars, strings and choir, and the electronic sprinklings throughout. If the band takes out the softer more "feminine" elements of their music (piano ballads, stringed arrangements, choir), it will make them sound like a basic hard rock band and that is NOT what I want. I'm getting worried. It's definitely something I want. At least for one record. It seems like a great antithesis to Synthesis. As much as I loved it, I kind of wished there were heavier moments, but that wasn't what the project was about. After doing that so long, it makes sense that they'd want to get into the heavier rock elements of their music. But just keep in mind that even if The Bitter Truth doesn't pop out some ballads and strings, it's still a major component and they're most likely going to balance out for later releases. Perhaps at some point, they'll work on an album that breaks down their music into their separate components like she was talking about before. If this isn't your album, there's at least hope And if we're still in a pandemic, perhaps that will yield more songwriting for an even quicker album release after TBT.

My bet is that "Yeah Right" is the one supposed to be released first. I can't wait to hear that song. Edit: I didn't read all the posts, as there was one page I missed. I guess it was supposed to be the first single.

This ^^^^ 😬😬😬😬 She stated in the interview about doing the opposite to Synthesis recently. The pandemic means the original plans have changed as they still want to meet their deadline. I already stated in a previous post but they will more than likely do the deconstructed Ev for the next album which hopefully we will be out of the pandemic by then. I feel this will be the child of TOD and Ev6. Each album is distinct from each other. Origin (2000) - Demo Fallen (2003) - Commercial/Simplicity The Open Door (2006) - Experimentation/more complex Evanescence (2011) - hard rock/band Synthesis (2017) - Orchestra/electronica The Bitter Truth (2020) - synth rock/ electronica Ev6 (2022-2023?) I’d love to finally hear Perfect Dream. I also wonder if we’ll finally (if ever) hear the studio version of Find a Way, or is that more of an Amy solo song? I believe that we will hear the studio version of Find A Way someday, but I believe that she did not find her home on this album. I am presuming they have a few songs which are more strings/piano orientated including the Across the Universe cover so makes me wonder if they may do an EP after this album. I really want them to do a DD cover. If anything maybe a covers album before Ev6. It was nice hearing Amy doing solo covers but I would love one by the band.

I feel awful for Jen with them 'finishing' the album without her there. I know they will get her to record her parts and send them over, but it's not quite the same.

It is quite possible that the electronic part still remains, remember that Nick did Wasted On You which was a surprise for having electronic elements, so I believe there may be more electronics on this album.
About the ballads, I believe that there may be some in the style of lost in paradise that is piano, drums and guitar.

I don't believe Yeah Right is from the 2010 record, Will drums is as a songwriter. I think it was composed last year.

I don't want a 4th single... If this album it's set to be released on 2020, I think it's time to give us a real release date

I’m just hoping it’s going to be a long album. I’m not a massive fan of loads of singles before an album drops. Otherwise you know most of the album when it’s out and the excitement has kinda gone down. Here’s to a 17 track album everyone lol.

I wanna say 4-5 singles sounds pretty good, considering we know 9 more songs were tracked.

If this album it's set to be released on 2020, I think it's time to give us a real release date Amy said she doesn't want to set a release date to not rush the writing and recording. In yesterday's SiriusXM interview she said the guys already finished their parts (Jen's been working remotely), and she was still working on lyrics, vocals, keyboards, and programming. She feels the album is already out given the way they've been releasing it differently (one song at a time), it's just a matter of releasing the other (full) half. Haha. In the end it's gonna be worth it. I’m just hoping it’s going to be a long album. I’m not a massive fan of loads of singles before an album drops. Otherwise you know most of the album when it’s out and the excitement has kinda gone down. Here’s to a 17 track album everyone lol. Taking into account Nick's now deleted IG post, Will tracked 9 songs, and 4 were already done earlier this year, so it might be 13-track LP.
