Seems they've started recording again.

so long waiting for Perfect Dream or You Got A Lot To Learn, I hope Take Cover is not the only one of broken records, I will be disappointed if it is.

I'm curious about how "Take Cover" evolved from its live incarnation/Lillywhite sessions to its final studio version. I believe this might not be the only Broken Record song that will see the light of day, because in a June interview Amy mentioned a song from 10 years ago that it's recorded (perhaps from that 4-song batch they recorded earlier this year?): Perhaps that "Yeah Right" song that it was registered on repertoire databases? I believe that all production will be handled by Nick due to the coronavirus pandemic, and Amy's plan to work with different producers will not come about. Who knows! Perhaps Amy or Will Science will co-produce some tracks?

Seems they've started recording again. I thought they'd already done their batch with Nick, weird that they've done at least 9 songs with him when they only planned to do 4

Are those two titles written on the drum kit? It looks like it reads - Take Cover - Better Without You Can someone confirm?

I'm really happy with Take Cover, I think it rounds out the sound they're going for. I wonder how the virus has impacted the songs they've recorded, I can imagine a few songs they had planned being replaced with brand new ones about loneliness and isolation.

Gosh, I'm so not happy with Take Cover being included for this album. The lyrics are one of the most generic Ev has ever presented.
I really do hope they're able to produce other songs with other producers instead of Nick. I'm really not a fan of what he does with Ev.

Not sure if this was already known, but just found out from Amy in the Zoom call that Nick will be producing the whole album. By the sounds of this track, they'll be keeping the same kind of production so the album as a whole could sound a little more coherent than we were expecting up until now.
Also, no choirs on this record as it currently stands other than the backing vox on UMV.

So three songs in and another three songs: 1. Wasted On You 2. The Game Is Over 3. Use My Voice 4. Yeah Right 5. Take Cover 6. Better Without You This is shaping out to be the best album they've done, yet it's different and familiar at the same time. You can really see the differences between each album. Tbh if they don't they won't get the album finished and the promise they made fulfilled. Looks like when this album is out, they may end up following it up with another when the world is back to normality. No strings either.

The no strings/choir really stings but it'd probably be really hard to coordinate those kinds of things right now so I get it. Really hope the next(?) album has a lot of them! To be honest the more I see and hear the less excited I become. But I can tell the band seems to be really into this upcoming record so I'm very happy for them.

I have not been impressed with Nick's production at all so far. Edit: Just saw the post that Amy confirmed he will be handling the rest of the production.
