This is a DISASTER. So many issues here. Security was useless, which is obviously a massive issue, but with or without security, none of this should have happened. People are ungrateful, entitled pieces of garbage. I feel so sick looking at the footage. The f*ckers literally destroyed Evanescence's instruments and gear. Thank God nothing happened to the band members themselves.

I don't use social media at all, so of course I had no idea what happened. Seeing all these images / videos and reading the posts, I am very shocked! How disgusting that is, what a shame! Can't put it into words, just.. I really feel sorry for the band..
To this very day, people still have the nerve to give Fred Durst crap for the Sydney Big Day Out 2001 incident. He warned them about the barricades before they played, but they were threatened not to cancel - and somebody died.
A few months ago, I listened back to the tapes of Roskilde from 2000, with Eddie Vedder's heartbreaking pleas to the audience to just step back so that concert-goers who were crushed could be rescued. People got angry and were threatening the band as people were literally dying beneath their feet.
The ungrateful, entitled swine who did this. It's not about gear, or a monetary value behind the damage done, but the principal of respecting other human beings' safety. You wanted your music, and just like generations' past, you don't care about the lives of those around you, or how the performers feel about it. I couldn't imagine what it would have been like if they would have went ahead and people got hurt.
I'm a Mexican fan. We are embarrassed and sad by what happened yesterday. Most of the real fans are very worried about Ev not coming back again after all these years but I'm glad to see the bands post assuring us not to worry. I hope they come back on their own. </3
