Yes! I did search for this and found nothing. I want to know what kind of microphones Evanescence uses and I mean Evanescence as a whole and not just Amy. My particular interest are the microphones used for the instruments.
Also, where might I buy these microphones and how much would they cost?

Don't remember if I ever read an article specificly about the microphones Evanescence use. But in a recent podcast Amy talked a bit about the microphones they used during recording Synthesis. evthreads.proboards.com/thread/2509/lean-forward-podcast-december-2017If you already haven't, listen to the whole thing because it's an amazing and very detailed interview. But for the microphone part just go to 21:30.

I forgot where we were having the discussion, but I remember it being mentioned that Amy uses Neumann U87 mics in a lot of recordings (classic warm condensor tone) and someone pointed out that they'd changed to a more modern Neumann for Synthesis - which is why her vocals are a little 'colder' and more stripped-down sounding (if anybody can remember where - pretty sure it was on here - please link us up!). As for instruments, I don't know if it's really mentioned anywhere. I can only assume from that radio silence that they just use Shure SM57 for most things (just an assumption) since that really is the classic go to workhorse mic. It's not really the sort of thing you'd bring up in 'behind the scenes' interviews since pretty much everyone does it, but it just does the job for snares and guitar amps at the very least so you can almost guarantee they feature somewhere. Edit: Also, apparently Telefunken U47s too (she has expensive taste in microphones) I think I may have a closer look into instrument mics as it's not something I know an awful lot about in terms of what Ev use. I guess it varies greatly depending on what each producer prefers. It may well require carefully looking through/pausing behind the scenes footage of drum/guitar/bass and keys recording and taking notes.

Thank you too, Rarkphoenix.
It looks like I am going to buy a Shure M57.

Don't know how reliable this website is but it has a list of microphones, headphones, pianos and keyboards Amy uses. Leaving it here if someone's still interested: equipboard.com/pros/amy-lee
