Great read! While I'm looking forward to their next "band" studio record, I'm so happy and super proud of the group for pursuing something different. It could have been a disaster, but they're KILLING it out there! I trust them wholeheartedly. It's amazing what they can do without the label holding them back.

Wow! this was such an awesome interview. loved exactly everything she said about the future and how Ev4 is gonna sound! damn! I'm sure it's gonna rock hard! as I guessed, it seems all these classical/electro stuff has only increased their appetite for going back to studio and making something extremely heavy as a band again. also loved what she said about imPerfection, and Evanescence's Essence. Thank you very much Rarkphoenix!

I now know where to order it online. The question is should I? Depends how eager you're feeling / where your interests lie. This is literally all they have on Ev in this issue. The other main focus is on Code Orange and an interview with Bruce Dickinson (of Iron Maiden fame). There are also a few bits on Trivium, Creeper, Guns N' Roses and A Perfect Circle. It's a little less 'scene kid' than I'm used to from Kerrang! (with the obvious exception of the poster section), plus they have interviews with Amy and Brucey, so that was me sold.

It looks nice and I really like the new photos so I'm tempted. I might go check if the WHSmith here has it and then think about ordering.

Did anyone order a physical copy of the "Synthesis" album? I feel like the images they're using for this magazine spread will end up in the artbook. I could be wrong, though.

I did, and I really hope so. It's why I'm so glad that Ev have started moving back towards physical albums/vinyl records and collectables. There's so much more artistic potential with physical releases and I feel like with P.R. Brown they've got a formula that I can fall in love with again.

thank you for sharing! this was a good interview an got me pretty hyped for both synthesis and their next album. btw, when Amy said my immortal was so old and didn't even have a real piano she wasn't talking about the Fallen version, right?

I wonder if she meant the demo with the terrible clanky piano? It's my favorite but boy the piano is bad.
