SourceCool to see them make it to a list that features a lot of serious metal bands. I'm not sure I necessarily agree with their inclusion, since I wouldn't really consider Fallen metal (more just metal-influenced), but it's cool nonetheless . And from what I saw, they're the only band other than Nightwish to feature a female vocalist. Which is ridiculous. A whopping 2 out of 100?

I'm not agree with their inclusion because imo the first 4 places of the list must be for Ev albums thanks for sharing this.

I tend to refer to Ev as 'alt metal' since they're sort of a metal/rock fusion for the most part (anything with fuck loads of palm mute-open-palm mute, power chords and riff based overdubs is metal to me). I'll have to check out this list. Certainly going by the rise of symphonic and goth metal bands in Europe, it seems crazy to me that there'd only be 2 female fronted bands in there, but then again, other than Tristania, Arch Enemy, Nightwish, Ev and a few select others, I wouldn't really say many had released truly groundbreaking albums.

This list is stupid. Ev3 was way more metal than Fallen. Even TOD was more metal than Fallen. If this list is about legacy, they should have put Hybrid Theory. Where is Rammstein??

If they had to place Fallen, I think it deserved better than close to the bottom...even though it isn't my favorite.

I'm sure they chose Fallen because of its popularity. Rolling Stone, though it seems like a rock publication, is really more about pop culture, so it doesn't surprise me they choose the most well known album.

Yeah I was a little irritated that there weren't more female fronted bands in there. The vast majority of the metal bands I listen to have female vocalists... although none of the rock and metal stations around here bother with female fronted bands. It's tough being a lady metalhead.

Hey, at least you have rock and metal stations!
