I would love to send in some of my Evanescence-inspired artworks, along with a short thank you message. If you could let me know the best format to send these in, that would be great.
You usually work with digital art/photos, don't you? If so, any common image format that best preserves the quality of your original art, and maybe pass the message along as part of the email. Alternatively you could produce a PDF or something similar with the art and messages as one file. Whatever's easiest. If you'd prefer to send it to me in a physical format, just drop me a P.M. and I'll send you my address (:

'sup! Just a reminder that you can still send me your messages/creations to give to the band!
Just to reiterate what I said on the first page:
I'm lucky enough to be seeing the band at a meet and greet in London on 13th June. If you'd like me to pass on anything to the band, please PM me on here asap with the kind of the thing you'd like to give them and we'll discuss the best way of getting it to me before 13th June!
If you're sending anything to me by email. The deadline will be 9:00am UTC/GMT on 13 June (if later than this I may be able to pick it up wherever I can find internet, but please let me know beforehand!
If you're sending anything to me by post, the sooner the better really (most of us remember the fun that was had waiting for the limited edition boxsets...) Try to leave plenty of time for it to reach the UK and any time it's likely to spend going through customs etc.
I'm also going to put together a simple letter from us (the forum) to the band, thanking them for everything that they do. I'll probably start drafting it this weekend when I get a spare moment, but it'd be great if we worked on it together. So if you've got any ideas of the sort of things we should say, please let me know! (:
If I wasn't so crunched at school, I'd type up a short letter and send it as an attachment.
You totally should if things ease up at any point! (: Doesn't need to be anything too crazy. I'm sure the band appreciate anything they get. Truth be told I haven't received a lot of stuff yet (I'm sure this will change over the next few days), so I wouldn't worry about it being too simple or rushed. As long as it means something to you personally, that's the main thing.

Hey guys. Sorry it's taken so long to do this. I've been snowed under with Uni work.
I've drafted an open letter to the band. This was pretty 'chain of consciousness' about 5 minutes ago. So I've probably missed loads out and it no doubt makes zero grammatical sense. Anyways, that's what I'm relying on you lot for. To help turn this into a brilliant introduction from the forum! (:
When Evthreads closed down in 2012, many of us felt like we'd lost a big part of ourselves. The friendships we'd formed thanks to our mutual love for your music were such a huge part of our lives. There's a reason Evanescence fans often refer to one another as 'family'.
It was because of this that our founder and long time fan, Danny Castillo, had the idea of creating a new home for us, so that the friendships and memories we'd made could continue. It turned out to be really popular, to the point that we now have a flourishing community of over a thousand members (and quite a few regular visitors). Now approaching 5 years old, many of our current users are new to the Evthreads family and even new fans of your music. It's because of your music that our little community exists in the first place. We've shared the ups and downs of touring and the breaks between with you. We've laughed together, we've expressed ourselves and shared our hearts with each other, and we've formed lifelong friendships. A simple “thank you” really doesn't cover it.
So, somehow through all of this, we're still here, and we're still going strong. Thank you for creating this beautiful thing that we call home.
