Going to be updating progress on my Twitter account (so that I don't clutter up the forum too much). My Twitter account can be found here in case anybody's bored/interested about what's going down in London tonight! (: Edit: If anybody would still like to send me a letter to give to the band. I should be able to get it to them any time up to about 15:30 BST today (it's currently 8:30am BST as I'm typing this edit if that helps with time zone calculations LET'S DO THIS!!! (may or may not be really nervous )

Coolbeans! Sorry about there being fewer updates by the end. I was having too much fun So yeah, to summarise. I had a really good night. Amy and the band got our letters/artwork (well, Beth did, she was designated packhorse ). Hugged me an Amy and a Jen and talked technical stuff with the guys. In terms of what we know about Synthesis etc. not a lot more, although Amy switched up the bridge of My Heart is Broken in both our soundcheck and live. Instead of playing the usual melody, she was playing chords with her right hand and had the keyboard split so that she was playing a spacey synth sound in the left hand. Sounded pretty cool and maybe be an indication of the kind of thing we can expect from Synthesis? (just speculating here). In terms of where the Synthesis tour is happening, she was very ambiguous, but didn't seem to rule out taking it out of North America, so we'll see. But yeah, pretty special night for me. One I'll remember for the rest of my life (: Thank you all for being a part of it and joining me in sharing your hearts with the band. We're a kickass family! x)

I'm glad you had an amazing time! Some member on another music (not Ev) forum went to the M&G and had a chat with the Manager and said the Manager went on to suggest that Ev might come back to London for Synthesis.

Just come back from the best concert experience I've ever had. I've been to a lot of concerts in my life with some incredible bands and musicians, so this really puts everything into perspective for me. I was going to put this in the respective tour thread, but I felt like this maybe had some relevance to our open letter. So here it stays.
I really can't put it into words how good that was. You know when you just have those special moments where you stop singing along and rocking out and you're forced to just absorb what's going on around you? Yeah, it was one of those. The energy started from the first note of Everybody's Fool and it. did. not. stop. I'm not just talking about the front 2 rows, or the front 10. Even in the stands people were losing their sh**.
Amy also gave one of the most powerful speeches I've ever heard her give. She spoke of the courage of everyone (not just at this show, but at shows all over the world) for coming out and living in the moment even when each day it feels like there's an ever greater risk that we or those we love could be taken from us at any point. She also spoke about the importance of the Ev community and referred to us as a "family". I hope someone got a video of this, but this spoke to me a lot, and it makes me wonder if our letter to the band may have somehow helped inspire her speech in some way.
Maybe I'm jumping to crazy conclusions here, but maybe it doesn't matter. I think the sentiment stands. Evthreads is just one part of a much larger family, the Evanescence family. We and the band share the same highs and the same lows. When the energy's high for us, the energy's high for the band. When one of us goes through something hard in life, we're always there to support them and when things are going well, we still support them. These were the first gigs I've had where I've been connected to the outside world via Twitter during the experience and the interest and support of my fellow fans was insane. It's almost like those who couldn't make it were really there with us and enjoying the experience. There was no real jealousy or envy (even though I'll be the first to admit I'd have been jealous of myself tonight). There's something pretty special about our fanbase and I feel like Amy, more than ever, acknowledged that tonight. So, to reference the letter from our little corner of the Evworld: "There's a reason Evanescence fans often refer to one another as family. Thank you for creating this beautiful thing that we call home" I realise now that that last line applies not just to the band, but to all of us.

^ Agree with you word by word. We are a family! definitely! Honestly I was a bit worried about these shows with all the sh*t happened in the past few weeks there. I really didn't expect such speech from her. and I'm happy that everything ended fine and I hope the same for the whole tour. this sounds like such a wonderful experience. thank you for making us a little part of it!

Listening to that has made me realize that Amy's speaking voice has gotten sexier with time. Lol

Listening to that has made me realize that Amy's speaking voice has gotten sexier with time. Lol Off topic, but did you see the promo video she did for the Italian fans on the last tour? Tour Manager: "Okay Amy, we really need to get as many people as possible coming to these shows. We need every venue filled. What have you got?" Amy: *activates "this ma sexy voice" mode* Tour Manager: "Perfect"
