Charity Auction: Win Amy Lee’s Hello Kitty Keyboard

We’re auctioning off the Hello Kitty keyboard that Evanescence’s Amy Lee used for her exclusive cover of Death Cab For Cutie’s “I Will Follow You Into the Dark.”





As a part of our Hello Kitty Sessions series, Amy Lee took the challenge to see if she could make a performance with a toy keyboard work. Like the world-class musician she is, Amy knocked it out of the park even though the keyboard had almost no sustain (watch above). After her Hello Kitty mini-concert, Amy signed the back of the pink keyboard so we could auction it off for charity.

At Amy’s request, all proceeds from the winning bid will go to the Epilepsy Foundation, a charity the Evanescence frontwoman has been passionate about for years. A history of epilepsy in Lee’s family led Amy to launch her Out of the Shadows campaign, benefitting the Epilepsy Foundation.
