And again, here, it completely skipped my mind that C Sharp (according to his wife) was the demo to Forever You. lol. And here is some other cool trivia about Forever You and BMTL.

Haha! I never picked up on that though. I never made to connection. Not because I was too busy hating, just because I never thought of it or heard it. XD I think it's amazing to know this trivia!

Sometimes I have these moments when I will start singing songs over the top of others, either it will come to me naturally becase a melody will remind me of something else, other times I will force it out of curiousity. Not sure what happened this time, but I was driving home one night, listening to Forever You, and suddendly decided to sing BMTL over the top of it. That's when I discovered the verse fit almost perfectly over the top of the chorus. Never thought it was intentional, just put it down to old melodies bleeding though memory into new material. Bit like how the "If you want me" part of Anything For You sounds like the chorus of Lacrymosa.

Bit like how the "If you want me" part of Anything For You sounds like the chorus of Lacrymosa. Yeah! I can kind of hear it with BMTL Verses and FY Chorus. They're definitely in the same style. I thought the AFY and Lacrymosa were like that because they're both sampled (or seemingly sampled) from Mozart's Lacrimosa. I've done this with a few songs but, with WOTW I realized that that the "She's nothing to me" is the same as the guitars in the same song. Haha. BMTL and Erase This are kind of similar but that's because they're in the same key ans played relatively the same on the piano (they have most of the same notes - Erase This just has a played F# where BMTL doesn't). And NWTB and FAW are played in the same key as well. This is so cool! I love finding connections like this!

This is cool info. Adding it now to my post. Also it seems that, Forever You as a 2001 - 2002 Demo, makes sense. John didn't say anything against that comment, so I'm adding it to my list of demos.

All evidence points to 2001 - 2002 demo, so I'm going with that. I think our last conversation had us pointed in that direction too, so I've decided to no longer be on the fence on the issue

So, I've been thinking. In the chorus, when Amy sings "Lost in your game to change the same"; I think she sings "Lost in your game to change the sane". Anyone else hear/think this?
I mean, wouldn't "sane" make more sense than "same" because of the fact that the song seems to be like someone is toying with the other's emotions? That would probably make someone a bit less sane than they used to be as it's somewhat a manipulation and can make someone feel confused and as they are losing control of themselves.

When I first read about the verses of BMTL/chorus of Forever You thing, I wrote it off, but they're the same chord progressions and I don't know why I didn't see that before. haha. AeternusAmatorius You know, I think you're right about the lyrics. I've always thought that lyrics sounded a bit dicky and didn't quite make sense, and Amy usually makes sense with her lyrics. Now that I'm listening to it and thinking about it, it sounds like it could go either way, but common sense tells me you're right.

I was listening in the car with my boyfriend one day and heard it. And I asked him "What do you think she says there?" He said "Idk, I can't really understand her." And I was like "Pssh... Whatever, dude." Because he ALWAYS does that. I think we need a better quality version though to be absolutely sure of what she sings though. Maybe John will answer the question about the lyrics?

Well, at least ONE of the My Immortals has to be on the list. I mean, okay Fallen Version won't be counted because it is just Origin + Strings, but the question comes down to is which version are they referring to in that quote - Mystary or Band? (P.S. Thank you for that quote!) Now, some people refer to the Mystary Version as the Demo of the Band Version; so I'm more inclined to agree with your original inclusion of the Band Version, but not so much the Mystary Version (because why would they include a demo in the final list of songs that would be "for Fallen?") So the magic number is still 14 (Fallen minus MI (Fallen) but plus MI (Band).) And the final song is indeed still what we are wondering. I don't know about Bleed. AFY/Bleed/Before the Dawn/Surrender are like the four horsemen of the 2001 - 2002 demos. If either one was going to be the 4th Outtake for Fallen, David would have said it in the quote I stated. I mean, he mentions Before the Dawn just fine; if Bleed was a serious contender then it certainly would have been mentioned. I wonder if we tweet David that link and ask him to elaborate what the 15 are, maybe he'll respond? I dunno . . . I agree, we still don't know what to do with Forever You. But, even that quote from my notes (talking about potential songs on TOD), that was around 2004: There is some degree of EvLore (quite old EvLore) that Forever You was "suppose to be on Fallen." I just have no clue where that idea came from. Did people just assume? I wonder if John would answer whether or not Forever You was going to be a serious contender. I mean, I'd imagine there is more evidence for Forever You than there is for Faixa Five - which could in theory be either a fifth unique 2001 - 2002 Demo or an Origin Outtake that wasn't listed in EvRoom101/EvBoard Discographies, but I find the latter unlikely. The article describes that it was recorded with the band, so I would assume it was the Band Version. So let's count this one since in the article Amy hints that's the version they wanted on Fallen, or at least something different than the one that became Track 4. Well the question was what song would he have wanted to make it to Fallen. So it's his opinion. Sure, the person asking said "other than FA, Missing and BNM" but still, the question didn't say "What song(s) of the contenders for Fallen, that didn't make it onto the album, that you wished would have made it to Fallen?" Yeah, he could have easily said something about the 'other' b-side song (15th song), but I don't think he thought of it that way. I just think he was like "Okay, what song do I wish made it onto Fallen and they can't be the b-sides." At least that's what I would have reflected upon if I was asked that question. Yeah. I really hate that Amy doesn't like talking about the old stuff. Yeah, I know it's embarrassing to her, but God, the old stuff was the best because she and Ben had free reign of whatever they want to put into the songs and it's what made her who she is today... Without it, she wouldn't be in the band that I love. I want answers and if we are not going to get answers then don't bring it up. There's hostility there when Amy talks about most old stuff, especially Origin. I'm going to make a document of my questions that I want answers to. Next time Ev comes around, I will give it to Amy, give her my information, and ask her nicely if she can answer them for me and send her answers to me. (long shot and it will never happen, I know, but a girl can dream right? )Eh, I don't think the guys (not necessarily David; more Ben, John and Rocky because of the way things ended and now the WATF hate and judgment from some EvFans) would like to talk about Evanescence stuff. Idk why, but eh. If there was a bad ending to my story with the band, I wouldn't want to talk about it. I know this convo is from like, an entire year ago, but I wanted to throw in a small tidbit I remember. Back on the old Evthreads, when the 2007 Nissan sets had just been recorded, people who had gone to the show were posting about it. A member had said that someone had shouted out "Play Forever You!" in between songs, and they said that Amy crinkled her face and said that the song sucked, lol. Or at least I THINK they said Forever You, it was either that or Surrender... But yeah. So I'm not sure if Forever You was ever a contender. Or maybe it was and Amy hated it.

Thanks De! Does anyone have that performance in FULL? Like not JUST the song or JUST the Q&A. I remember streaming it on the Yahoo! Nissian whatever website and it was the ENTIRE performance. Than again this was in 2007. lol.
