Amy's smile at the BMTL video as the fans freak out kills me. So cute!
Just watched the Neil Young cover and it's perfect!
Thank you so much, Hayley. You did a great job!

those two videos are really awesome too..
Lol Amy making mistakes and then just brushing past them and laughing it off while continuing what she was doing is what i love about her. Soo professional and unfazed love it.

About the whole pregnant thing, I'm sure none of us meant to hurt Amy in any way by any passing comments or questions. At least it's all brought into light now and everyone can move on. Doesn't mean we can't imagine possible futures for all members of Ev and those accociated with said members.
Now to be on topic, Find A Way is the most glorious thing I have experienced since the last album came out. It's beautiful, raw, and completely different. I was doing so well on the hiatus, but this small teaser of what's to come leaves me longing for Ev's return as if they have been away for decades. Personally, I think Amy is enjoying our torment. Lol. Patience. Must find it again.

I agree, all the fans want the best for all of the members of the band we all love. but some times fans can go a bit too far and i think Amy has been doing this for long enough to know that fans and even media are going to ask personal or inappropriate questions from time to time or over and over again. Its totally in her right to say what she said, im sure this method will be extremely effective to a certain extent. When the time comes its up the her if she wants us to know or not not up to a fan or the media.
Im sure we will all find a a way to amuse our selfs until new official ev stuff. (lol hehe see wah i did tharr)

^ Amy was great. Paula was NOT so great. Amy needs to do a folk album.

why does everyone ( ) hate Paula's vocal? I don't think it's "bad" or that they "don't fit to each other"... I'm aware of that the video footage can NEVER be as good as being actually in that room. BTW. I want more photos!!!

BTW. I want more photos!!! Paula's vocal sounds great when she is singing Paula songs. When she is singing backing vocals though, her voice is still too upfront, and ends up competing instead of blending with Amy's lead vocals. Sometimes it is also out of tune, and since it is loud, it derails the others. That being said, I wish they would have done that Paula and Dolly Parton song, Heart Door. Amy would have sounded fantastic with her.

Exactly P.J. ! Paula was outstanding. Especially in Manitoba (which is yet to be uploaded) She has some serious pipes. I absolutely loved her backing vocals on MHIB & the end of Missing.
It was incredible and they both sounded amazing that night.
EDIT: Strong, Beautiful Woman

^ This. I'm not saying Paula sucks as a singer, because I really enjoy some of her work, but when she sings backing vocals for Amy her voice just doesn't blend at ALL and it is way out of tune on occasion and it just kills it for me.
TAKE NOTE SINGERS THAT GET TO PERFORM WITH AMY LEE: She know's how to blend. Her voice meshes well with just about anyone. Her tone is incredible and the way she can sing without vibrato is insane. When SHE sings with other people as the backing vocalist (Broken, Freak On A Leash, Break In) she knows when to push her voice and when to let it softly ride along in the background. She is amazing. When YOU (being Paula Cole) sing backing vocals with her, you should take a lesson from her. If your voice is powerful and your strength is in belting you should maybe take it down an octave and sing a lower harmony. Amy's voice is one of the most beautiful things in the entire world (in my humble opinion) and I just get upset when someone, even if that someone is very talented, ruins it by being too upfront, not blending, and being constantly sharp/flat throughout the entire song.

I'm really loving these videos everyone is posting! Makes me feel like I was there. I've missed Amy and Evanescence so much here lately. It's almost like I've been drifting away from them. I really hope either Amy or the band decides to do something sooner than later so we don't have to wait as long this time as we did for EV3

calcol28 Exactly i think what it comes down to is experience. From what i know of Amy, she use to sing in a school choir she's got sisters im sure she sings with them harmonising all the time. She knows how to take the back seat, her classical piano training means she got good ears so can pick out crazy sick harmonies. If you watch carefully you can see amy stop and really focus on Paula or lzzy or any other singer she is singing with to get her harmonies to just slid into place underneath the part she is suppose to be supporting weather she is pitching bellow or above the main melody line. I honestly don't really know anything of Paula's experience so please tell me if what im saying is wrong. It seems to me she is use to taking the lead and perhaps is not so accustomed to taking a back seat and backing some one up because she hasn't done it a lot. maybe. And you know what Amy makes it look soo easy, Its soo f*cking hard to harmonise its just insane you have to listen but then not listen otherwise you sing the wrong thing. Also those that are saying Paulas voice didn't blend as well as Amy's well you also got to take into consideration the song and the style. not everyones voices suite all styles and genres. I don't think any one was being disrespectful with these comments but just understand there are a few things at play when it comes to this sort of stuff. Like how long did they have to rehearse? LOL also i noticed im probably the only one who noticed or cared to comment about the numerous times Amy Made a mistake and how cute and funny it was as she recovered from the mistake in an instant. Which is probably what i admire the most about this performance. Its amazing but still raw and unpolished and unperfected but beautiful and they looked like they were having soo much fun.

^ Amy was great. Paula was NOT so great. Amy needs to do a folk album. She definitely needs to do a folk album!! A electro-driven would be brilliant! Back in 2008, I remember this Spin interview where she said she'd been working on a folk thing. She once said they misunderstood the Celtic influence. It was in one of those 'Evanescence Era' interviews.

I don't agree that Amy is always great. Some of her Break In performances are cringe worthy just as most singers don't sound 100% all the time, but Paula did great and I thought she sounded pretty good with Amy
