Okay so the TNT Powerhouse bootleg is the oldest known bootleg (until we had the 1999 one) that came to the EvCommunity
roughly around mid-2003 (see posts below). EvBoard first discussed it (as far as I can tell) in August of 2004:
www.evboard.com/dolphins-cry-17774.htmlEvRoom has the discography of the set listed - the user who originally had the Dolphins Cry video posted it and was then posted on this website:
evroom.webs.com/discographypart2.htmSome things from EvBoard:
This means that the EvCommunity had known about this bootleg since August of 2003 and the person who has it a woman, according to this post. However, I think the poster meant "he" since subsequent posts emphasize that it is a man (not a woman) who had this and wasn't sharing.
He apparently posted:
Now THAT was stupid because Wind-Up is not interested in stuff like that and, while this was pre-YouTube days, it would have been nice if he just shared it to everyone because Evanescence fans
should be awesome like that.
And this is how we got to The Dolphin's Cry clip we all have. Notice also the changed pronoun to "he" instead of "she". It remains this way throughout the EvBoard topic.
I find this unlikely, although by 2004 did Origin still have it's BigWig copyright? By then Amy + Ben had that interview which told the fans to download all of their old stuff, so I don't know what copyright the poster of the video was going on about. Besides, I thought live shows aren't per-se copyrighted (or whatever, hence why all the bootlegs exist of live songs). Or is that not the way it works? I mean, it seems kind of silly to say, for example, our 1999 live set is copyrighted or whatever, so what difference is there for the 2001 live set?
This is very true, especially that early version of EF. This means that by EARLY 2001, EF was already written (and demoed? We may have an Origin-ish-era version of EF?! Or, perhaps more realistically, EF (along with MLB) are two we can correctly categorize as 2001 Demos, in comparison to (perhaps) Whisper, which is a 2002 demo - see Demo Topic).).
Apparently the name of the person who has the video/the alias of the person

Note, this also is discussed in the Demo Topic, but it is an interesting insight as to how the first demos got released/shared to the EvCommunity back in 2002-2003 (as per Yahoo groups it seems; this includes the release of the Forbidden Song).
Another topic about this bootleg:
www.evboard.com/is-it-or-not-32446.htmlWOOHOO! I just found this quote - HERE is the quote which said that (Gabe believes) all the songs on the first EP were played live at least once. And some other things about The Dolphin's Cry. This post was in 2006, so it is just rehashing some things.
Although note that the EvBoarders ASSUMED that the guy was going to put it on E-Bay if Wind-Up didn't buy it, this is not something the guy actually said, so we cannot imply that that was his intention to do so.
The Dolphin's Cry:
Notice David Hodges is playing with the band, the only video we have of him doing such.
Aanndd that's all the information I have on this particular thing. It's a shame it didn't get released *agony*
