AA, you are both walking encyclopedias. DarkFlare is just a bit shier and not so well known. Yeah, people just don't read enough! Because when I first met DarkFlare89's posts, it was in the Discography section, and I was overwhelmed by the amount of information I found there... It's awesome to read it, especially the facts about the older songs. [/OT] I agree. I think DarkFlare is a gift from God

It's been a while I wanted to update this thread since we've had new interviews from other artists expressing their opinions and feelings towards Ev/Amy. and last part of this post which is a new interview from Lzzy that's been recently published, finally made me do it: Lzzy Hale and Taylor Momsen: "Lee’s success expanded the opportunities for other rock acts featuring women, and since then, groups like Paramore, The Pretty Reckless and Halestorm have made their mark. Pretty Reckless frontwoman Taylor Momsen, who cites Evanescence as being her first concert when she was about 10 years old, considers Lee an innovator.
“The fact that she’s still [recording] and still dominating the rock world is amazing,” says Momsen. “She took rock’n’roll and she put a female voice in it and didn’t try to be anyone else. She really created her own identity, and that’s something any woman should look up to. She mixed pop to rock to opera to metal, [combined] them and made a really unique balance that hadn’t been heard before.”
“She showed me an open door — no pun intended — because up until she blew up the radio, I was largely the only female rocker in my area,” recounts Halestorm leader Lzzy Hale of hearing Evanescence on a local station while starting out in her home state of Pennsylvania. “A lot of industry folks just didn’t believe a girl rock band could get on radio. So when Amy proved them all wrong, it showed everyone that I wasn’t crazy for pursuing this career.”

"Who inspired you to write songs? I recently went to an Evanescence concert, and I hadn’t seen Amy Lee perform. She was such an inspiration to me in my teenage years. Songs like “My Immortal” and “Bring Me to Life” from that first big album [Fallen, 2003]—that was such an amazing album. I love the music which was a combination of light and darkness. There were dark undertones and heaviness mixed with light piano and melodies that twinkled. With her soaring voice, I thought it was such an amazing musical contrast. When I first started writing music, I looked to that to create feelings of light and dark in my music."

After seeing Björk on this list, I'm sure Amy became a total fangirl then died and went to heaven.

This means more than just a simple praise or am I mistaking? Edit: she's so funny and cool. Well, she's an Evfan after all.

Apparently Billy Corgan has had a little Q/A with the fans a few months ago on Instagram and one of the questiones is about Amy:

That’s really REALLY cool that Amy was also eyeing someone from Alice Cooper as a candidate. I wonder if Amy’s list consisted of just women. That’s interesting. Not all that surprising, but interesting.

So apparently 50 is still butthurt about the Grammy. amp.www.complex.com/music/2020/01/50-cent-gets-hollywood-walk-of-fame-star-takes-shot-at-evanescence50 Cent received his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday. And his acceptance speech was very on brand.
The 44-year-old hip-hop mogul reflected on evolution of his career, highlighting his biggest accomplishments and the mindset that got him to where he is today. But 50 also made sure to address one of his most notable Ls of his career: losing Best New Artist at the 2004 Grammys.
Fif was one of the most popular names in rap at the time, having made huge waves with his debut studio album Get Rich or Die Tryin' in the year prior. Due to his commercial and critical success, many believed 50 was a shoo-in for Best New Artist; however, on the night of the ceremony, he ended up losing to the rock outfit Evanescence. 50 is still scratching his head over the perceived snub.
"You got the largest debut hip hop album [but] you don’t got no Best New Artist trophy," he said during the Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony. "The Best New Artis, they gave that sh*t to Evanescence. Can you find f*cking Evanescence? I ain’t seen Evanescence since that night. Since that night they gave them the trophy."
Get a life dude. Amy is probably using that thing as a paperweight or has it stuffed in a box collecting dust lol and you're whining like a three year old more that FIFTEEN years later because you didn't win. Boohoo.

And says who? Still just one grammy shared with Eminem and Dr. Dre after all these years? 😂
That jackass better open his eyes btw when he's talking about one of the most successful bands ever. You can't see Ev because Ev's standing above you. If Amy wrote crap like what you make and call it 'music' every year and lived like a cheap ass celebrity like you, she could indeed come to grammy every year, have a toast with people like Nikki Minaj and Selena Gomez and take dozens of those not-so-valuable-anymore trophies home. 😂

I love the hip hop/Rap scene I follow it a lot for all the drama lol and I can tell you that 50 is one of the pettiest of the bunch. Don't pay attention to what he said. He is right about the fact that Ev was more popular overseas before the Grammys but who the hell cares. Anyway, it's not like Ev paid people to vote for them.
Dude justified Beck's Album of the Year over Beyonce because Beck is a musician and writes everything. Well same deal with Ev. Please, thank you.

If I ever get famous, I want it to go down on record that I'm a big fan of the chick from effervescence and I love that song 'wake me up inside'. It will justifiably spark outrage amongst the casuals, but I feel like you guys will get it

Finnish band The Rasmus talks briefly about Evanescence as they were going to open for them at a few shows but they got cancelled.

Lindsey's story is so wholesome because it's so obviously legit. You can tell she's a fan and you can tell how much Ev's music means to her, so when her dream's come true and she's able to perform with Amy, it's hard not to smile because I think a lot of us fans have imagined ourselves in a similar position. It's also nice seeing this happen to such a genuinely lovely and humble person.
