Yes - I don't want Ev to change too much either. Their music is unique, and I've loved all their albums to date. I've this feeling of impending doom about all of this, and I'm going to make damn sure I'm there at the Birmingham show Nov 8th to see the band. It might just be me over-reacting....... Over the last year its been fantastic reading and following the band on its journey across the world, and this Evthreads board has been really alive as well.......

Just found a new article on NME from the same interview: I really NEED to see the real ORIGINAL with their former Q & A's. This can be so misleading, i can't go on.

Atleast you don't live in London and haven't managed to get tickets because you were on holiday and when you came back and planned to get tickets they were sold out >.< Fffuuu!! I had a little hope, still... So -- it's all gone? The only world I've ever known sleeps beneath the wavesThe ones in London are pretty much gone I don't know about Manchester, Birmingham & Nottingham, but London is sold-out pretty much. Guess I'd have to wait 5yrs to see them again.

I know that your city is as big as a half of our state but you're still at home and there's three more shows around, so grab your money and doo whatchu want I have nothing left and all I feel is this cruel wanting *sell her clothes on ebay crying*

DO WHATCHU WHATCHU WANT except I can't do what I want, because I have a clingy dad who has a problem with me going to other cities because of an incident that happened like 3years ago at Birmingham (I went there with my friends). Lemme check the tickets for Birmingham, probably too late for Birmingham too, but if I'm lucky, I'm DEFINITELY going to go without my dad knowing. xD and if it's too late for Birmingham too, I will join in with the Lost In Paradise singing D':

Yeah I just saw. Never ever not going to let a friend get me some tickets again. >.< He said how he can get me and another friend of mine some tickets and how his mum use to work at Wembley Arena and has special privileges, then he contacts me saying how the only tickets available are the ones RIGHT at the back. I am going to attack his phone! HE WILL FEEL MY WRATH! I booked the standing tickets btw

Yes, this is probably the best way to get all the correct information. The media tends to twist things so that they don't sound how the interviewee intended it.

I'm actually quite happy with this news. It was what I expected. After all, they are sort of the Tool of Alternative Rock/Metal. They write and tour completely at their own pace and only release music when inspiration strikes. After writing and touring the same album for several years I'd be sick to death of it and it's pretty obvious to me that Amy is too.
I don't think that's it for Evanescence though, Evanescence will never die so long as Amy lives, its sound simply changes with whoever else is contributing to that sound. We're not talking about some one-hit-wonder manufactured 'pop idol' project. This is something that Amy's dedicated much of her life to so, perhaps ironically, it's never going to 'evanesce'. That's the reality of music when a band member keeps a band alive long after it should logically have died, it becomes part of who they are and who they're yet to be.
