Help ;-; Can't tell if I have an authentic copy of Origins!

Hello everyone! This is my first post.

I'm really struggling to figure out if my Origins CD is real or not.

I've been referencing 
evanescencereference.info/wiki/index.php?title=Origin#Identifying_True_Copies
without much luck. I'm a really visual person I guess, and without a legit disc to compare to, I can't tell.

I’m not the expert here but tbh what I know is that Origin is an EP album that never officially got released by Evanescence themselves so I believe basically all copies of origin are actually fan made albums of leaked unreleased songs? I could be wrong but as I said to my knowledge Evanescence never released this “album” (btw I’m aware of Lost Whispers but that’s a different album)

Not quite. Origin was released by Evanescence with help from BigWig Enterprises. They only pressed 2500 copies, so it's possible to own an authentic copy.

I'm not convinced this is a genuine copy unfortunately. Could you share pictures of your booklet and inserts? That would help a lot.

Origin was a demo CD that was packaged as an album to distribute to record labels in an effort to get signed. They also sold it through the BigWig website until early 2003.

It was indeed released by Evanescence in 2000, which got them a record deal with Wind-up in 2001. However, Amy doesn't consider it an album, only bad demos from their early years. This demo album was released as an exclusive vinyl on The Ultimate Collection in 2017, so it's not fan made at all.
