Much fun was had xD
Amy told us in soundcheck that the reason why Lacrymosa and a few others keep getting missed is they made their setlist longer than the average allocated time. So they played it for us in soundcheck instead <3

🔹Reviews: New: LIVE REVIEW: Evanescence, Within Temptation, Veridia, O2 Arena, London, 14/11/2022www.bringthenoiseuk.com/202211/reviews/live-reviews/live-review-evanescence-within-temptation-veridia-o2-arena-london-14-11-2022"Far From Heaven is a set highlight. The song is among the finest ballads that Amy Lee has penned to this date and she performs it with the kind of heartfelt candour that people have come expect from the frontwomen after all of these years. Showcasing her immense talent at song writing, particularly in this particular style. Despite the set leaning so heavily on the new album, it goes without saying that the older songs stand out from the rest and receive the warmest welcomes. Songs such as CMWYS and Imaginary standing heads and shoulders above the rest of the set with regards to fan response. Making you wonder why the band have decided to omit so many classics for the sake of playing songs off of an album released more than eighteen months ago in the height of the pandemic." New: Live Review: Evanescence / Within Temptation – 14th November 2022 – O2 Arena, London, UK renownedforsound.com/live-review-evanescence-within-temptation-14th-november-2022-o2-arena-london-uk/"It was the first time for us seeing Evanescence and to say we were blown away would be quite the understatement. I don’t think we were prepared for the sheer talent of the pint-sized Lee who owned the massive O2 stage; dressed in black – a figure-hugging top and a shredded skirt – the superstars journey as frontwoman of the turbulent male-dominated rock band has not been the easiest, but her performance – as both an entertainer and powerhouse vocalist – was easily one of the best we have witnessed in many, many years." New: Live Review: Evanescence and Within Temptation – The O2 Arena, London, 14th November 2022 therazorsedge.rocks/2022-11-live-review-evanescence-within-temptation-london/"Surprisingly, ‘Wasted On You’, a song of the bands most recent album ‘The Bitter Truth’ received a huge raw of approval with fans echoing the chorus back behind Amy. This was followed by a triple threat medley composed of ‘Lose Control’, ‘Part Of Me’ and ‘Never Go Back’ with Amy Lee taking a place on a piano front and center for ‘Never Go Back’. She would remain on the Piano for both ‘Far From Heaven’ and ‘Your Star’. Imagery was a big part of Evanescence’s set and nothing quite captured the audience's attention as much as ‘End Of The Dream’ which saw Amy standing at the top of the stage as a silhouette while crows flew round her." Telegraph Review: Amy Lee is on dazzling form in this majestic show by Evanescence www.telegraph.co.uk/music/what-to-listen-to/evanescence-o2-arena-review-metal-superstars-majestic/ [use adblock to get in]"Where other key bands from the early-2000s metal boom often fall back on safe hits these days, it’s to Evanescence’s credit that much of the show comprised newer and deeper cuts. Broken Pieces Shine, Better Without You and Use My Voice took on new weight and rawness while still showing off their gossamer gothic sheen. Lee’s voice, meanwhile, was dazzling: enormous and powerful during the grandstanding moments, then soft and delicate when a grand piano emerged for the beautiful tribute to her late brother who died in 2018 aged 24, Far From Heaven." Evanescence & Within Temptation WORLDS COLLIDE at the O2 Arena, London on Monday, 14th Nov 2022 myglobalmind.com/2022/11/16/evanescence-within-temptation-worlds-collide-at-the-o2-arena-london-on-monday-14th-nov-2022/"Amy effortlessly manages to blend the haunting and somber moments of just her and a piano, then combine a full band somehow managing to complement rather than overpower. Backing vocals performed by new bassist Emma Anzai (Sick Puppies) add an extra element of magic. Evanescence is a band whose progression of music has largely gone unchanged (although fans may disagree) however, the evolution comes from within the members themselves where lyrics often reflect the current climate and explore difficult experiences of life and death. Notably, Amy begins Use Your Voice as a platform to announce: ‘ No one can take your voice, no one can tell you what to feel – remember to use your voice!’." Evanescence and Within Temptation show London a retina-burning, eardrum-blasting spectacle www.metaltalk.net/evanescence-and-within-temptation-show-london-a-retina-burning-eardrum-blasting-spectacle.php"The pummelling drum pattern of Will Hunt, percussive bass of Emma Anzai and snarling riffing from Troy McLawhorn and Tim McCord introduce Broken Pieces Shine, its digital countdown the perfect start of their set, Lee walking on and singing the opening lines in that most distinctive voice. There’s an energy here on stage, fiercer than we’ve seen before, the singer prowling and virtually bouncing in equal measure, and you get the feeling that this is a band reborn." In pictures: Evanescence and Within Temptation’s epic Worlds Collide tour www.kerrang.com/in-pictures-evanescence-and-within-temptations-epic-worlds-collide-tour"It’s been a looooong time coming, but finally Evanescence and Within Temptation’s Worlds Collide co-headline tour hit London’s The O2 last night – and it was absolutely incredible." Evanescence review: Anaemic presence plagues otherwise stunning performance www.express.co.uk/entertainment/music/1697625/evanescence-review-tour-london-o2-amy-lee"Finally seeing them is made more exciting by the fact that Evanescence are one of the few bands that has grown up, changed, and improved as the years have gone on. And a lot of that power was in the band's live performance this week. Their musical and technical creativity was plain to see - pioneered by singer Amy Lee. The Californian has, without doubt, one of the best voices in music. There are top-ten pop artists who could never hold a candle to the skill, tone, and nuances that she flaunts with ease. Despite trilling through a 15+ song set list, I don't believe she faltered once." Review: Evanescence at the O2 Arena www.theupcoming.co.uk/2022/11/17/evanescence-at-the-o2-arena-live-review/"Lee brings as much passion to her performance as if it was still 2003. Her strong, multi-faceted voice is sometimes drowned out by the heavy metal music, but it still comes together beautifully to create a powerful, sad and yet elated feeling. She doesn’t just sing: she really takes the music into her whole body and moves about the stage as a connected entity. Visually, this is a pared-back performance. A triangle featuring abstract video imagery – some of it not a million miles away from the generated videos on Windows Music Player, but Evanescence don’t need many extra props as its members – particularly their frontwoman – are mesmerising enough already." Evanescence And Within Temptation Live Review From O2 Arena, London, 14th November 2022 www.rocksins.com/2022/11/evanescence-and-within-temptation-live-review-from-o2-arena-london-14th-november-51942/"What’s up London!” Amy shouts before coming in heavy for the next round. With songs such as Broken Pieces Shine, Take Cover and Wasted on You taken from their latest release, The Bitter Truth, Evanescence prove how technically tight they are together and appear to have a great time doing it. Between songs, Amy gives a heartfelt apology for the tour delay and expresses how grateful they are for the turnout, which is met with a thunderous applause from the crowd which continues into the opening riff of Going Under."

here's a lovely London review by BlackenTheDay originally posted in Evanescence and Within Temptation Tour thread.... thank you 💜💜💜 Oh my god y'all. Oh my god I saw Ev live. Whatislifeomg. I met AlessEv and Rarkphoenix so that was SUPER EXCITE YAY we went to the London show. It was kind of amazing. I really love both bands(you could say equally) and I got to finally see both, in the same show. Double win. :') I know people were unhappy with the Ev set and love the WT set but to be honest I found it to be almost the opposite - Ev's set looks smaller on pictures but live is actually really impressive, and WT's looks huge and very out there on pictures and live it's not as big and scary(I may be biased cause I'm scared of pyrotechnics and this wasn't bad at all) We were there for soundcheck and they played Lacrymosa, Amy said they planned to have it on the setlist but it went over time by a few minutes(makes sense, because the first show in Munich was late and they played Lacrymosa then) so they had to sacrifice a song and it was Lacry, but we got to see it and it was amazing and the lighting/set was actually reaaaally cool for it. The lights went with the strings <3 (and the next day in Birmingham they skipped Wasted on You and played Lacrymosa instead, so I think they really do want it on the setlist) We could hear Amy had a but of a voice thing going on at soundcheck and then when Within Temptation were playing(they played first) Sharon said she has a bad cold and that she'll try to push through the show(which btw she did amazingly well, I love her voice so much <3) but Amy pushed through too and they both sounded really good in the end. I think my faves live were Your Star and End of The Dream <3 the birds and silhouette Amy was soooo cool. And of course the build up of Your Star. The show was on Monday and my back still hurts and I still can't turn my head properly xD so, it was a really really amazing show. I loved every minute of it. We may not have gotten a collab but I'm just happy that I was there, got to meet my friendos and that we all had a good time. And that I FINALLY saw my bands live :') never missing their show again.
