It just occurred to me, I think Amy's grandmother's passing could be one of the reasons why LIP was postponed. I doubt they'd be able to film with Amy mourning about her family's loss. I'm just glad that the single was not actually canceled...at least I hope not. Hey, maybe a live footage of LIP may mean a live DVD from EV....chances are low but it would be awesome .

It's interesting to me that she's asking for videos now, the day after the tour's finished and if November 12th is indeed the proposed date then it sounds like she's actually repaying a debt to the fans. I've been hearing rumours that with three albums out and the tour ending that Evanescence are technically out of their contract with Wind Up. It could well be that for whatever reason, Wind Up were preventing Evanescence from making a L.I.P. video and now that Evanescence are free from that contract they can legally do whatever they want, hence the request to fans. Yeah, it might not be a particularly great video (what can you expect with limited time and money?), but if my pondering is at least half true then it's truly an inspiring sentiment (: Can't wait!

I'm glad we're getting something so happy but sad that the tour has ended

We're like, 'FINALLY!' People were just expecting too much, 'cause Amy said they'd record it after COM, but that didn't happen.

I'm sorry, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I think this sounds cheap and dumb. I get that this is the end of the era and it would be pointless to film a video when they are not longer active and touring.
I don't know what it's going to be like yet, but I hope I'm wrong.

We aren't going to get a video because the folks at wind-up are dumbasses in the truest sense of the word. Lost In Paradise was the most successful song when the album came out (if I'm not mistaken it was the one bought the most by itself when the album came out) and yet all wind-up does to promote it is releasing a pop mix that hasn't even gotten radio play anywhere? Where is the video? What You Want charted no. 1 on the UK rock charts, just saying. But, I agree. Lost In Paradise charted no. 99 (when Ev3 came out) with absolute NO promo. It could of went to no. 1 with a video. I wonder if flags would have something to do with the video? I mean the song is about the fans and Amy falling in love with Ev again

I'm really glad that there will be a video, but just a compilation of fan videos of concert footage? Well, that idea scares me A LOT. I rather prefer a vid with water and falling again than another performance vid. Anyway, still excited though!

Altough i'm not the biggest fan of performance videos, i actually thought this video was going to involve the audience in some way and pobably other Ev cliches, like water, mirrors, falling off buildings/watever. So it's not like i was expecting something too original anyway.
I'm excited that we will at least get a video for this song, it's a nice surprise. I hope they find the right editor for this, it could be a very nice video with the right people involved.
YAY! I'm sort of happy!

Yep. That's exactly what I think too. Sounds like Wind-Up decided they didn't care to spend money on a video, so Amy decided to make one herself when the tour finished. So while a concert video may not be ideal to most fans, I don't think we should jump to call it a cheap, boring idea. It really sounds like Amy is putting this together with her own time, money, and resources. I think it's really sweet and admirable that she wants to keep her promise of a video to us, even if Wind-Up won't back it up. And there's still a possibility that it won't just be live footage. I could totally imagine some professional footage mixed with it, even if it's just some shots of them performing. It could turn out really nice. But no matter what, I really think it's the thought that counts.

She's also incredibly creative. Even if it turns out that not all of us like it, she's guaranteed to be pouring every ounce of inspiration into this video because she's an artist and true artists don't do anything by half measures

I did notice that the only song recorded during the Birmingham gig in front of the stage, was Lost in Paradise (I think) so perhaps that had something to do with it?

I really wanna watch this. Knowing that this era was a bit sucky in terms of videos and singles promotion, knowing we are going to get a video for this at the end makes me happy.
