So, next year would be 10 years since Ev made their debut to the world ;D.
Imagine if they did a 10-Year Anniversary Tour? What would you want to see on this tour? What setlist? Clothes? Sets?
For me, I'd love for them to go all out like Lacuna Coil recently did for their 15 Year anniversary tour. They toured the US and did 23 songs per show! It was epic. Songs going back to their self-titled album released back in the 90s.
For Ev, I'd love to see actual costume change. Doesn't have to be too many, but maybe Amy can bring back her favorite costumes from back in the day. As for a setlist? I'll follow the Lacuna Coil model and do 23 songs.
1. Lose Control. 2. What You Want 3. Going Under 4. Made of Stone 5. Haunted 6. Sweet Sacrifice 7. Missing 8. Lithium 9. My Heart Is Broken 10. Good Enough 11. Whisper 12. Oceans 13. The Only One 14. Call Me When You're Sober 15. The Change 16. Imaginary 17. Sick 18. Swimming Home 19. Lies (Remastered) 20. Bring Me To Life
Encore: 21. Understanding 22. Your Star 23. My Immortal
For me, an anniversary tour would need to celebrate their entire career as well as showing us songs that are rarely (or never) performed (including a few surprising little treats), thus skipping over songs that have been performed often enough but aren't iconic, like Whisper or My Heart is Broken. It would also have a super long set list......
So... The set list would be something like this in my head:
(it would follow a timeline almost, with distinct sections for each era of their career)
1. Bring Me to Life 2. Even in Death/Haunted 3. Tourniquet 4. Imaginary
-out comes the grand piano-
5. Breathe No More/Hello 6. My Immortal 7. Missing (live Missing had a piano, correct?)
-away goes the grand piano-
9. All That I'm Living For/Weight of the World 10. Cloud Nine 11. Call Me When You're Sober 12. Lacrymosa
-a wild grand piano appears-
13. Your Star 14. Like You 15. Good Enough/The Last Song I'm Wasting On You 16. Lose Control
-grand piano disappears during Lose Control-
17. What You Want 18. End of the Dream/Oceans 19. Say You Will/New Way To Bleed (I don't like either of them, but it'd be nice for people who like them to see them once) 20. Disappear 21. Never Go Back
-the piano returns-
21. Swimming Home 22. Lost in Paradise 23. Erase This -with extended instrumental section and guitar solo after strings part-
-Goodbye audience, we love you *runs off to get drunk*-
24. Some unreleased song we've all been dying to hear
25. Secret Door (reworked with entire band)
She could have a costume change between each era if she wanted, I guess... The old fashioned Fallen look to start, then something fancier and more suited to the TOD era, then to her body glitter + blue and purple from the current tour. They'd need to do some of that fancy stuff they did during the TOD tour (the snow, etc...) too... Maybe do falling sparkly stuff during Swimming Home, sparks during Erase This, etc... All that jazz.

Hmm.... I would really divide them into some kind of sections as well... oh.. and wouldn't make it soo simple, unlike this current tour. I would have a HUGE stage, with all kinds of strings and a choir, for at least some part... For the fallen & tod era, at least...
Here is my setlist. I will name them Fallen era tod era etc but they can find some kind of fancy names
-A- Fallen Era- Amy wears some kind of a fallen era thing.... The choir at the back of the stage, strings at the sides, band on some kind of stands to make it irrational a little bit
1- Overture -- Choir starts singing some kind of Latin Fallen era kind of parts, and halfway, strings join, and towards the end, Will joins do do his thing. MAYBE, mixed parts of all the pre-fallen songs, to kind of add them as well. 2- Haunted - A long-ish version in which band members are added slowly, and Amy coming on stage after the 3rd minute of this or so. 3- Goning Under - As a single, they will sing this anyway. They always do 4- Tourniquiet - Since there is no choir in GU, halfway through this one, some kind of different version... 5- BMTL & My Immortal - A new choir opening, and Amy doing her thing. No piano until the end of the intro, and the grand piano comes down from above by then, Amy starts playing. Ends this with some kind of piano spin, connecting BMTL to My Immortal, maybe making a whole song of 10 minutes or so, the band version of MI played, and a huge string exit for MI. 6- Whisper - A silence in the room. Then the spotlight focuses on strings, they start a really heroic intro, and the band joins in. Amy gets on the piano and as she's singing, the piano starts going up, and by the end of the song, Amy disappears with the piano.
-B- Connection between Fallen and TOD- NO AMY! The band playing some kind of an instrumental, and only the band can be seen. During this time a huge moon decor is inserted behind Will, the ground is filled with fog, realistic wolves are around the stage, some kind of decaying trees, with crows on them, whatever that has to do with TOD era...
Oh, and some kind of video mashup of all Fallen/TOD MV's appear at the back screen, very dark athmosphere during this section
7- Instrumental of Whisper connecting into intro of Lacrymosa strings, as they join the band halfway through
-C- TOD era- Amy wears a TOD era costume and this time comes between the audience. The new decor is ready, string play lacrymosa. What's important here is the fogs and the crows to match the dark atmosphere of TOD
8- Lacrymosa - Played in a way that sounds good live, meaning that more heroic, more rock, louder 9- Lithium - Choir fades away and they leave the stage. Strings are still there though, even though they dont play here. Lithium as usual. 10- Your Star/The Only One - An interesting combination. The choir part is changed into strings AND Amy. 11- CMWYS - Single power Amy interacting with the wolves a little bit 12- Sweet Sacrifice/Weight of the World- Taking a total of 4 minutes, kind of making a mash-up 13- Cloud nine - A huge string outro, since this is the end of the era, and the main strings. Amy goes away again to be washed in glitter
-D- Connection again- Decor goes away, and the stage is filled with huge monitors, for the imagery that can be seen in the artworks and everything Mix of TOD and Ev3 videos, and a finale that shows that everything is brighter now, with huge light shows kind of starting by the end
14-Guys play some kind of instrumental, Amy joins and they play a 10 minute mashup of If You Don't Mind/Together Again/TLSIWOY
-E- Ev3 Era - now its all about the colors. Huge color shows, colored fogs, imagery and everything.
15- LIP - The Last Song... is a slow song, so adding it up with LIP seems legit. 16- Your Love 17- Disappear - Well, you know how this is presented 18- The Change 19- MHIB HARP COMES ON STAGE! From now on, wild, realistic ocean waves appear, with some thunder voices, but the visual of the waves are what's important... 20-Swimming home 21-Secret Door 22- Never Go Back 23- Oceans
-F- Between Ev3 era and Encore - Everyone disappears from the stage, waves slow down, and suddenly a huge ray of light approaches. A video rolls, like flowers opening, winter ending, happy ending kind of thing.
-G- Encore - Every decor including the trees, wolves, crows, choir, strings and the lights return, a huge connection between all eras
24- A mashup of Imaginary/All That I'm living for/TOS 25- Amy announces that they are working on a new album blah blah blah, A brand new song, no one ever heard about 26- Another new song and the concert's over!!!

Oh maybe bring some of Amy's paintings to life as a stage decor. In Turkey there was an exhibition where they made the same thing for Van Gogh lol... Didn't see it though cuz I don't live in Turkey Maybe do something like a series of Ev logos, starting from the simplest one used for Fallen, then the TOD one with the vines and lastly the most recent one, which Amy drew and it was given with the CD as an electronic gift... It had this weird middle part and birds and a snake(?) on it? I loved it! They should definitely do this sometime
***** Mopsi I will never forget you <3 ***** --- --- --- I am so sick of speaking words that no one understands --- Without the mask where will you hide --- Fear is only in our minds --- I am so lost without my place inside your heart ---
OOOOH! I love threads like these! A 10 year Evanescence Concert would be friggin RAD! They should definetly do this and release a live CD/DVD to go with it. Here is what I would like to see (and my apologies for going over on the song limit, this would just be an ideal concert):
Origin/Fallen Era (The show opens with blue lasers and smoke. Everything in the first part of the show is tinted blue. The band is wearing dark blue, and Amy is in a corset. There is a choir on the left side of the stage and an orchestra on the right side of the stage, each with lights that will turn on/off when they are needed.)
1. Eternal/Whisper 2. Bring Me To Life 3. Going Under 4. Lies 5. Understanding 6. My Immortal
The Open Door Era (The band exits and makes a wardrobe change while the choir and orchestra begin singing a spooky intro. The guys come back first, dressed in brown and green and join the choir and orchestra, mixing in the distinct rock sound. The lighting effects for this portion of the concert are green, brown, and yellow. Amy comes back onto the stage wearing a new black dress and her signature combat boots.)
7. Weight of the World 8. Sweet Sacrifice 9. Call Me When You're Sober 10. Good Enough 11. Your Star
Acoustic Portion (The lights go off and spotlights shine on 5 chairs, the drum kit and a piano. This portion of the concert will have no choir, orchestra, or lighting effects. Amy and the boys exit and reappear wearing black and white outfits. Amy is wearing a black and white dress as she sits down on a chair for the acoustic portion of the concert.)
12. Heart Shaped Box (Acoustic Nirvana Cover) 13. Imaginary (Acoustic) 14. Lithium (Acoustic) 15. All That I'm Living For (Acoustic) 16. My Heart Is Broken (Acoustic)
EV3 Era (The lights go back off and the chairs are removed from the stage. The lighting for this portion of the concert will be blue, purple and white. Amy and the boys exit and re-appear dressed in all black with purple accents. Amy is wearing a leather outfit and a purple tutu. The Lost Whispers intro from the NY Secret Show and the Maquinaria Festival begins to play.)
17. Lost Whispers/What You Want 18. The Other Side 19. Made of Stone 20. The Change 21. Lost In Paradise 22. Swimming Home
Encore (The band exits the stage and curtains cover the stage as the crowd cheers for an encore. The band changes into all white outfits. The lighting for the encore is red, yellow, blue, orange, green, purple and white. The curtains re-open and Amy does a speech thanking the fans for sticking with the band for 10 years. She introduces each of the band members to the crowd before continuing with the final portion of the concert.)
23. Even In Death 24. Together Again 25. Smooth Criminal (Michael Jackson Cover) 26. Missing 27. Break In (Lzzy Hale of Halestorm comes out and plays piano with Amy singing backup vocals. They announce that this is a joint single and will be re-recorded with Amy) 28. Your Love 29. If You Don't Mind 30. Secret Door
