In my opinion, I would like more choir and more of the industrial and experimental feel that Origin had. I love Origin and love how raw if felt with all the instruments and layers. I'm not saying that Ev3 didn't have layers, because it did! Musically, the best album was TOD, then Origin. I just loved the experimentation on Origin and in TOD and I would like to see that again, with more choir, and as most have said, more solos/instrumental breaks.

I actually cannot wait for an Amy Lee solo album. Hard rock is over. I love it, but there isn't much evolution going on in hard rock music, and that is why Evanescence cannot be marketed anymore. I kind of agree with you here. While I think that Ev3 could have had a lot more success if the right (rock) singles were released with proper marketing, you're right in saying that hard rock is pretty much dead at the moment. Lately, it's been all about the "indie" sound. So I really hope that they don't feel pressured to go with as much of a pure hard rock sound as Ev3 to have any success with the next album. That obviously didn't work out this time anyway, so I hope they'll just forget about trying to be marketable and just get creative again and do whatever they want. At this point, I think they'll always have a decent-sized fanbase. I don't think it'll ever be as big as it once was, and there's a good chance it'll get smaller than it is now, but it will always be there. So they'll at least have some moderate success amongst their dedicated fanbase for the rest of Ev's life. Sure, it'd be cool to hear them on the radio again and see them in lots of magazines and tv appearances, but I don't think any of that really matters anymore or is even attainable. I agree. I was just listening to Origin, and I'd forgotten what a great album it is. It has that wonderful balance of rock and electronic that TOD did, and I really want them to return to that sound. And Origin has such variety - something that was really missing on Ev3. It's got the soft songs like "My Immortal" and "Field of Innocence" (which are such vastly different ballads), and then it's got one of their heaviest songs ever in "Lies", and everything in between. Even an instrumental! Such a wonderfully balanced and creative album, just like TOD was. I want more of this.

^^ I see your point. It's pretty interesting to think about that 'indie' sound. Nevertheless I still like the rock elements in Evanescence sound and I wouldn't mind to get some more heavy pieces. Guess I'm just old-fashioned. And guys were sometimes taken a back seat a little bit, so I'd like to hear more of their contributions in the future.

I miss the older Fallen days because to me it seemed like they had more feel and the newer album has too much goin on with amys voice the way it was on their first cd u had good music but then u also when she sang the music dyed down a bit to focus on the voice and I liked that. I love anything and everything evanescence they are my fav band and im actually digging ben's new band too. but my ideas for a forth is that they should do a lot more heavy guitar work along with some more moazrt pieces ive always liked that they put classical in with it bc no other band really does that.. id love for them to bring that element back.

with more choir, and as most have said, more solos/instrumental breaks. I like the idea of more choir and more solos I would also like an instrumental song (like Eternal),and songs that have more of a haunting feeling, and the harp to be included in some of the songs.

Let's pretend for a minute that Wind Up doesn't interfer with Ev's artistic process. In that case, i'd like Amy to borrow some inspiration from Regina, especially from "what we saw from the cheap seats". This is one of my favorite songs.

More "Together Again" and "Secret Door"
Less "What You Want" and "The Other Side" and general loud yelling.

I know it isn't going to happen but I would LOVE to hear the stuff they had to dump (Lillywhite sessions). Those youtube clips sounded amazing. They had an almost tribal feel with electronic, other worldly sounds. I was so excited hearing those clips. Don't get me wrong. I enjoy the third EV album but I feel like I missed something that would have been even more evolved.
With that sort of sound, Amy would have to go solo and take some of that stuff. I don't see the current label being very supportive in a creative manner. I think Amy, in particular, needs more of that creative freedom without the pressure of label execs pushing for a certain sound. I don't think EV is able to do that. They are restricted in that way.

I'd love Amy to work with Trent Reznor. After hearing Trent's project with his wife, How To Destroy Angels, I'd love to hear him producing some stuff for Amy to sing over. Amy singing something like this would be immense: www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_GqVFa5GBAOr something with Massive Attack, or Collide. I'd like to hear Amy doing guest vocal duties with some ace producer.

More "Together Again" and "Secret Door" Less "What You Want" and "The Other Side" and general loud yelling. total disagreement! I see it totally opposite way, I mean I love Secret Door, but I love it only because there are so few ballads on Ev3 I don't want Amy to make solo record, I would probably not like any ballad album, but you know Tim is expecting family, I don't see any Ev record coming soon, so if something is going to happen it would be probably only-Amy thing :/ (but who knows...)

" Unfortunately" many solo artists/one-man projects I know are mainly softer and ballad-like, I can understand ann's point. I feel it similar way. I will always love amything from Amy... just a big pity that with any of her solo projects she would probably never visited my continent again. With Evanescence the European tour would be more likely to occur.
