112: Evanescence (Amy, mostly) has helped me realize that, underneath all the fancy, crazy clothes and makeup, rock stars are just normal (enough) people like me. 113: Evanescence has given me a place to run to when I'm upset or having a sucky day, and they'll always be there for me even if other people can't be. 114: Amy has inspired me to try new things: tuna casserole (seriously, until I heard that she was eating that while writing TOO, I had never tried it, and now I love it), writing songs, making my own clothes, cooking (because she said she wanted to be a good cook, so I decided I did too), I'm sure there are others. 115: Listening to Evanescence helps me fall asleep at night. 116: Evanescence is the best headache medicine for me. If my head starts to hurt, I go listen to Ev, and I swear it helps. 117: Evanescence made me realize that I'm not the only one who has problems and feels hurt or alone.

118: I may not listen to as much Ev as I used to but it's always there. It's like coming home for the holidays, I know Ev's music will always be waiting for me, even as I branch out into other bands. 119: Speaking of other bands, Evanescence was my 'gateway band'. If I never got into them, I pretty much would have never discovered my other favorite bands. 120: Amy taught me that it was ok to go against the grain and it was ok to not fit in and to stand out.

122. Amy's unique style and history of making her own clothes even in high school reminds me why I just shouldn't give a f*ck if I want to wear stuff that's too eccentric for this city. 123. Amy and the rest of the band seem to appreciate a decent-sized variety of music. 124. The band seems to really get along well and care about each other. (It's awkward when band members hate each other and divides fanbases.)

125. Evanescence is a genuinely unique band with a signature sound. 126. Amy Lee's voice is instantly recognizable, she has an impressively wide range and a great ability to harmonize with herself 127. Evanescence songs are emotionally deep with simple lyrics that are made extremely powerful by Amy's ability to transfer emotion through her voice. The lyrics seem simple when read out loud but within the song the true meaning of the lyrics is made known through Amy's singing.

130: Real, heartfelt music. In a world where people are either trying to be someone else or trying too hard to be against the grain, it's great to have music that isn't trying to be either, it's just being what it is. 131: ATMOSPHERE. ALL OF THE ATMOSPHERE. 132: They're not afraid to take years to make music that they're happy with. I always get frustrated with myself for not being able to churn out music I'm happy with, quickly, so it's nice to have a band I admire that also like to take it slowly. 133: I still can't find a genre that applies to them completely. That's pretty special. 134: There are few people in the world I can relate to more than Amy, on a very deep level. In terms of personality/approach to life, flaws and life experiences, and she happens to front a band that I love musically - it's a happy accident. 135: In many ways, they regularly transcend my favourite genres of music. Heavy metal and classical/orchestral. 136: Troy uses the same amp I do, and it's folkin' Orange. 'nuff said. 137: The first time I saw them live, Amy sang the intro to Imaginary and I was struggling to string sentences together for about a week afterwards. So that was pretty cool.

138. At the end of the day, EV brings us all together one way or another. 139. When it comes to the band, whether it be its members (past or present), their respective family members, music, or anything related to it, there seems to be an endless number of topics to discuss. 140. Evanescence is one of the reasons I fell in love with the sound of a piano. It's...so many things. You can give music an entirely different personality just by adding piano to it.

141. Ev's lyrics have given us all a healthy way to express our emotions in a world that would rather we keep to ourselves. 142. Becasue Fallen came out when I was ten, I get to feel excited for the future and nostalgic for the past all in one sitting if I want. Which is fun. 143. Evanescence was the gateway drug of music for me, and a lot of people. It helped me branch out and find music that I love, that I would have never listened to before. 144. It's wonderful to have a band with an uncompromising female leader, whom is still down to earth and kind despite how often the media has tried to portray her as a bitch. 145. When I needed a role-model who had more integrity, Amy was there to let me know that I didn't need to fit in or compromise myself for others. When I was old enough to embrace sexuality, Amy had also grown and her music had a new sensual side.

146. I can feel bad about the direction (or lack thereof) that my life has sometimes, so I listen to Fallen, and it inspires me to feel the same exact passion and vigor for life that I had back when that record came out
