Jen noooo, I absolutely loved her addition and contribution to the band the years she was in. She was so bubbly and fun, very talented, a great friend and she also was the most socially active group member who gave us regular updates which included on stage, interview and backstage footages that I enjoyed watching so much, she brought so much life and fun the the band and us fans. Lol I'll miss her and wish her the best.
..maybe Terry should be considered to return, I'm actually curious to know now whose gonna join in after Jen.

Reading the posts by all the memebers sort of turning the page and moving on not adressing much of what happened makes me think we may never know what really went down.
Oh well, hoping the best for Jen.
Now this whole Tim on guitar and a new bassist joining is something I wasn't expecting.
I'm glad the new member is another female. Not really familiar with her, so I'm excited to see what she brings.

I have to say I have a thing for bassists, male and female, idk what it is. But this is off topic lol.

I will miss Jen a lot. She brought such a positive vibe to the band and I loved her endless enthusiasm. She was so down-to-earth when I met her. It really saddens me that "none of this was her decision", I hope she is okay.

I want to be excited about the new lineup, but I can't help feeling disappointed about the way this was communicated in such a cold way and letting go of such a loyal bandmember without a decent explanation...

She said she would send a new song to anyone who send her an e-mail with 10 words from the puzzle. I think it's weird, that the song won't end up on spotify or any other streaming or download service...

I wonder if it has anything to do with her leaving Evanescence.

Hi guys! Take this with a grain of salt but there has been a rumor going around on Twitter about the reason behind Jen's departure from the band. Earlier today fans have exposed supposed screenshots of Jen back in December of 2021 leaking confidential information about the band to a group of Jen's fans in a groupchat on Instagram. She talks about the tour being postponed because "Troy tested positive, and also Amy's bodyguard", and goes on to even send images of their bandmate's medical exams (which, despite not being shocking information can be taken as unethical). In addition, she supposedly talked about Amy's anxiety issues during that time (postponement). Some fans are outraged because she's been saying her departure was a surprise to her but in one of the screenshots she supposedly talked to the fans about them leaking (misspelled as "lacking") the info she gave them and that it got to the band's manager, who asked her to stay off socials for about a month (this checks out since Jen was absent from IG from late December to Mid-Late January). In the message sent to the groupchat, she supposedly mentions a "minimal chance" of her being dismissed from the band and that they don't trust her so much anymore.

Some fans defend her saying the information she had supposedly exposed to the groupchat were not deep or too revealing so it wouldn't been okay to dismiss her because of that, but others are pointing out that regardless of that, those infos (specially medical exams and Amy's "mental breakdown on the bus") are still confidential and should've not been disclosed to a groupchat with several fans on it.

Supposedly, some of Jen's fans are also mad at her for the way she's been acting on interviews when asked about her departure, since she says she was surprised and it was unexpected (even though in one of the screenshots she had supposedly talked about the chance of being dismissed because of her supposedly leaking information to fans).

Again, all of this is NOT confirmed NOR has 100% confirmed proof to support it. Screenshots of the supposed groupchat are going around as well as some of her fans are talking about this situation. But again, it's NOT confirmed, so take it with a grain of salt.

If all this information is confirmed, Jen's departure is justified since the behavior shown is definitely unprofessional (despite the info she gave out not being all that shocking).

If those screen shots are real then that’s pretty fair of Amy to let Jen go. I mean they posted a good bye post on they’re social platforms wishing her the best….

My guess is Amy thanked her for her commitment in the band but leaking intimate band information isn’t acceptable.

Holy shit, has it been a month already?... where has the time gone?

I don't think we will ever 100% know the truth, and I think it's fine if we don't. It is a band and not a customer service helpdesk at the end of the day, and neither Amy nor Jen owe us any explanation.

From what we are seeing I can understand both parties... Once you lose trust for someone you have worked with for a long time it causes strain in the workplace and if you want to have a positive job experience (after all, music and touring is all still a job) you have to make sure everybody is on the same page. If the screenshots are real then I can see where Ev came from, but even if not, we have to remember that we are at the end of the day, only fans of a band and not their intimate besties that need to know everything.

I also understand Jen's reactions and I don't get why people are getting so angry over the fact that she said she thought it was a bad joke and that it was unexpected when she "clearly knew" why she was being let go. Something you fear happening might still come unexpectedly, and(again if the screenshots are true) if she was already suggesting that she might risk losing the gig with Ev, she might not have known/understood how it was going to happen, and most people don't expect a phone call from another continent just before you're due to fly out for your job. And she may clearly know, but if Ev hasn't said in their statement "Jen said xyz about us, Troy, Amy etc" then I don't know what the law/contract stuff is but she might not be able to say "yeah I was let go because I leaked information". I think both parties realise as well that if either Ev or Jen said that it would stir things up, cause unwanted drama, and all that kinda stuff.

The whole thing with Jen retweeting something about Amy being whatever the word was, I can't remember if it was cruel or something, and then deleting it,  wasn't right but it's obvious she's in a highly emotional state right now and I know I myself had done similar things before and when you're in that space, such behaviours often come from a place of not thinking about the consequences. You are allowed to feel hurt even if the situation came from the consequences of your own actions - feelings are feelings and we can't really dictate what we feel or how we react emotionally to any situation - I hope that she can acknowledge that and work on it, because that's all mental health.

I just hope that everyone comes out of this situation happier in the end.

It's so easy to think of the band as this intimate setting where Amy is the leader and makes these major decisions based on her thoughts or feelings alone. And while sure, who knows, that may or may not be the case in some situations, the band is larger than that. It's a brand and a business with plenty of people relying on Ev's reputation as a career objective. Not sure what power their management contract might impart, but if these screenshots/rumors are true, this may have been outside of the band's immediate control. It may have been a breach of contact on Jen's part forcing management's hand with her dismissal. 

If the rumors are not true, there's so much that goes on behind the scenes and possibly a team making efforts to minimize any damage to Ev resulting from Jen's departure. We might never really know what happened, but we also can't guarantee who ultimately made the decision or why Jen did not fit within the band's business model, whether it's relaying private information, logistics issues, or whatever else. 

Either way, I feel for Jen losing this gig and for the band having to reorient so close to the tour. She did bring a lot of energy and I will miss her engagement with the fans.

It's a shame, and I do appreciate everything Jen has brought to the band. However, I do trust Amy's judgment in the matter. I have seen a lot of hate go towards Tim and Amy which is so unnecessary. I hope both parties can move forward, and the fans can trust the decisions being made behind the scenes. As we really don't know what went down, and maybe will never know.
