I remember reading (on ET I believe) that someone thought Amy sung in CMWYS:

"Must be exhausting to lose, you're all gay" instead of "Must be exhausting to lose your own game." After that, I kept hearing the wrong lyrics and even now I hear the wrong lyrics over the correct ones.

I got quite a few lyrics in 'Sick' wrong, to begin with.

I heard: "Un-break the silence"
Actual: "Embrace the silence"

I heard: "Every thought, every breath - are we still here?"
Actual: "Every thought, every breath I wasted here"

I heard: "Hold on, here we go"
Actual: "Hold on, little girl"

In BMTL I always thought she was saying "Now that I know when I'm without" but she's saying "What" not "When".

Oceans (the first live versions we heard): "Confusion's in my mind!" instead of "cross the oceans in my mind"
Listen To The Rain: "open your eyes to the world around you"
Away From Me: "of all the lies I created" instead of "of all I've created"
The Change: I heard "The Change!" instead of "You've changed!"

I blame the power of suggestion. I was listening for "pussy love", so I heard pussy love. Now I can't stop the vicious cycle.

Speaking of "Pussy Love", couldn't that be the name of a Bond villain? "Name's Pussy. Pussy Love."

For ages I thought that 'The light that flows inside of you burns inside of me' in Understanding was 'The life that flows inside of you burns inside of me'. I was a bit annoyed I took so long to find that out.

I've been a mega die-hard fan since 2003 and I'm ashamed to say that until yesterday, I thought the lyrics in "Missing" went "I'm redeemed and cry out". Then for some reason I wanted to hear that song and youtubed some videos people have made with the lyrics the other day and saw on ALL of them that it's "I breath deep and cry out". I feel stupid.

I always thought it was so deep and meaningful or something then realized I had been singing wrong the entire time.

I think the hardest part is trying to sing the song right once you've learned the correct lyrics
