Some edits for you Double A: I have this if you want it. I mean, it was always weird when Exodus was in the 97-98 Demos category AND in the EP category and the only difference between the two was a blip on the word "backpack." That's why I think either this was a bad rip from when Ben was putting the songs onto the EP, or that this version came from the EP and the clean version came from the bootlegs (like Before the Dawn). But I don't think it is the latter since I think the Perfect Rips have it as clean. I wonder if FaxiaFive's EP has Exodus without blips on it. I think you meant for this to go under Going Under (Acoustic). Yes, as far as I know. GU (Guitars Down) was the one played on . . . err . . . ah yes pop stations because the guitars would be too dramatic or loud or whatever. The same nonsense they said for the MI (Guitars Down) thing. I can't answer these since I don't know. FallenEvArmy got them, but I don't know from where. Haunted wasn't performed at Juanita's. Haunted was performed acoustically either @ Vintage Vinyl 03-09-03 or in Tower Records Seattle 03-15-03. I also have a random acoustic from somewhere that I have no clue Yes, in the US at least. The Fallen Version was played in Europe on the radio (or at least, in Greece when I was there). Um, I *think* MI was first released in Europe before the USA, because on EvBoard they were saying how people weren't sure if MI was going to be released in the US or not and I think they did once the Band Version came out. You also have The Narnia Song listed. Maybe a little note that these two are the same should be put somewhere? Like maybe put "See Together Again (Demo 1)" after the description of The Narnia Song? People who don't understand might think there are three TA demos, when in fact it is just The Narnia Song (TA Demo 1), TA Demo 2 (from CD), and TA. I'm still mulling this over. Should I keep it or remove it from the Rumor Mill? How likely is it that they made another WWYG after the EP but before Origin? As an aside, I find it funny how EvRef labeled the demos (since this labeling system is quite new) here. Its funny because for some reason We The Living Vol. 3 was like, not taken into consideration for some reason. If we label Automata as a demo (is it? Was Whisper going to sound like that before it was split? Did Automata come before or after Origin was out?), then why is it we don't label WTLv3 as a demo? It is also weird because if people start going around saying Whisper v1, v2, v3, v4 or whatever other people (like me xD) might misunderstand and think they are refereeing to the 2001 - 2002 demos, since usually the "versions" refer to them (like Haunted). Hmm, on second thought maybe that's why we are calling them Demo 1, Demo 2, Demo 3 instead of v1, v2, v3? Yeah, that must be it. But I still find it funny that WTLv3 was excluded. If Automata was a demo, then certainly We The Living was too. But that's an EvRef thing anyways so it doesn't effect me as much. I found this quote from the We're Not Goth site (Gabe's pre-Exodus site) through WayBack Machine: On the Evanescence EP - track 5 - released 1998. Lyrics ©1998 Ben Moody / William Boyd / Matt Outlaw. 'So Close' was the name of their band prior to the creation of Evanescence. So it seems that Ben + Will + Matt was in a band called So Close, and then it went under. And then Ben took the song (did he primarily write it?) and made it Evanescence style. I would imagine Matt had to give permission since he wasn't in the Ev project like Ben and Will were, but since that was their (only? main?) song, I guess he figured it is what it is xD. Blitz Locals, released in May 2000. Anndd that should be it

I have no idea what is up with the labels Demo 1, 2 and 3. They seemingly came out of nowhere and they just confuse everyone. Something else that I find strange is that for some time it was listed that David sings in the We The Living version. O_o

Something else that I find strange is that for some time it was listed that David sings in the We The Living version. I agree about it confusing everyone and the fact the labels came out of nowhere. Really? It is weird if WTLv3 was put on the EvRef later than the rest because the EvCommunity had Automata, WTLv3, and Post-Origin WAY before we had Post-SA. That was the last one that came out of the blue. WTLv3 and Automata at least, I got both at roughly the same time. Automata I got from the EvMediaWh0ringPage and WTLv3 I got as a 320kbps upload from FMB v1. Both the Automata and WTLv3 we (Double A and I) talked about on FOI by March of 2007. So the EvCommunity had to have had them by then. Post-SA was much later than that, um maybe late 2007, early 2008. Um . . . yeah, according to my external I downloaded Automata and WTLv3 around October of 2006 and Post-SA by Dec. 2007. Huh, okay so I am looking at the revision history of Whisper on EvRef and by 30 December 2006, they are calling Whisper Demo 1 the version without the vocal intro from the SA EP but notice it is also stating it came from WTLv3 CD. So I think what happened is that people thought the Post-SA Demo was the one on the WTLv3 CD and only when EvRef fixed the download links did they realize, uh-oh, it's not it. So I guess they always were going to incorporate WTLv3 as the first demo, but didn't realize the song they had wasn't the one on the CD in the first place. Huh. EDIT: Yes, the first mention of WTLv3 as being separate from "Demo 1" is on 21 October 2007. So it is at that time when people realized that the two were different, despite the fact that they still (at the time) list Demo 1 as from WTLv3. Huh. Anyways, there were still no download links at the time, so it makes sense why it took another two months before I could actually download the Post-SA Demo and figure out what was going on heh

FaixaFive, does your EP have the blips that we are talking about in Exodus on the word "backpack"? I'll change the GU stuff. There is a Sweet Sacrifice Official Instrumental. I thought Haunted was performed at Juanita's? I think I have an audio thing from Juanita's, I'll check. As for Whisper Automata 3.0, it was released in July 2001. It says it in the fist page of the magazine. And I don't know. People always add stupid labels to songs and then don't add labels to other songs that should have them. Are you sure the TA Demo 1 is supposed to be the Narnia Song? I'm having a hard time remembering this stuff right now. Not in the best of moods today...
I'll have to add those notes to So Close, Goodnight and Blitzkreig theme.
Thank you! DarkFlare89 and Ring, We The Living Vol. 3 came out in 2000. We didn't have the We The Living Vol. 3 after we had al the other demos. As DarkFlare said, Post Sound Asleep Demo was found AFTER the We the Living Vol. 3 version was found. Whisper Post Sound Asleep was the last demo found since we already had SA version, Origin, We the Living Vol. 3, Post Origin Demo, Automata 3.0 and Fallen. Multiple Updates:

What is this bliping sound you are talking about AeternusAmatorius and DarkFlare89? Is it when she says "backpack"? how does it sound? Is it skipping? I know a late bootleg of the EP had skipping on that song if i remember correctly. This was back when i was 13, i had a downloaded copy like that. But i havent heard it since then. It went like this " My B-packs stuffed with broken dreams" (that "-" is where it skipped) Or is this just a blip noise in the background? (I dont think ive ever heard this bliping sound you are talking about. A donwload link would be great) But i can asure you that there is no skipping on the EP.

Rumored Collaborations: These are collaboration songs that fans claim to have heard or claim exist.
Bring Me To Life (Feat. Shaun Morgan) This isn't a rumor. Amy confirmed it happened here.

Hey, does anyone know where I can see the specific trailer of The Village that Imaginary was featured in? I've never been able to find it. I think I've asked this in the Imaginary thread before, but no one seemed to know.

AeternusAmatorius I can tell you with 100% certainty that the "Haunted" acoustic is from Vintage Vinyl. It was my very first time seeing Ev live.

Lucky! I wish it didn't take me so long to become an Ev fan. It was a really awesome experience! My mom didn't approve of the venue they were playing their concert at that night and I was super bummed about not getting to go. But then she surprised me by hearing that they were playing this acoustic show that afternoon, so she took me and my friends there. We got to meet the whole band and get their autographs and everything. I'd say it made up for missing the concert. I wish they could've continued to do more little acoustic sessions like this throughout the years, but I suppose they just got too popular for it. The crowds would be spilling out the doors, into the streets now. I feel really lucky to have gotten to experience them in such an intimate setting like this, before they really blew up.

Evanescence - OrestesErr. Uhm. Guys. Do you know this song covered by Evanescence? The title of the song they covered is ORESTES. Originally made by a band named "A Perfect Circle". Can you include this in the official discography? If not, please explain it to me. The female voice there sounds like Amy.

Orestes is not in the Official Discography because it's not an original song by Ev. It's already on the list in the "Covers" section. Ring: Thank you for that! Where and how did you find this on the EvBoard? Haha! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Did I say thank you? DarkFlare89!!!!!! RUMOR NO LONGER! IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED! SHAUN DID PERFORM BMTL WITH EVANESCENCE! Haha! Now if we can only find a video...
RapturedLight: I still have yet to find this. I remember there was a movie trailer with a woman by the water and GU started and I need to find that one still too. I'm not sure what movie that one was from, but said scene was at the end of the trailer. Worm Baby: Alright! Thank you! And that must have been an amazing experience. I wish I could have experienced something like that! P.S. Did anyone watch The Toyman Killer? Can you confirm what Ev song was in the movie? UPDATE!

DarkFlare89!!!!!! RUMOR NO LONGER! IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED! SHAUN DID PERFORM BMTL WITH EVANESCENCE! Haha! Now if we can only find a video... LOL, okay this is good. Thanks Bfdx for the quote from EvBoard, I added it to my Mill. It seems the quote I had was wrong in terms of when this was performed. Because on that Seether fansite is where I got the quote that "Bring Me to Life (Louisville, KY, on August 4, 2004) - Shaun Morgan" but on the EvBoard topic where she talks about it (i.e. the one Bfdx showed us), she is talking about the INDIANA show she did on Aug 3rd, 2004. [August 3, 2004 - Noblesville, Indiana: Verizon Wireless Music Center] Not only that but it seems that, according to the EvBoard topic for the Louisville show, that the show was cancelled in the first place! But if you look at the Indiana topic LINK, they talk about it just fine. More quotes to add to the Mill! Also, Bfdx, now you can edit that part on the EvRef which states Shaun sung at Louisville, KT, since he actually sung it at Noblesville, Indiana.

I was just watching the making of Fallen, and I just got to the part where they're making Missing. To me, it sounds different from the version on Anywhere But Home. Do you think they recorded a different version of Missing, and it just didn't make the cut of either albums? www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0vUcOsZu7k
