That breathy outro is super different and finally showcases a bit of Amy's lower register. I love it.

I'm really enjoying the song, particularly alongside the other songs they've released. They all sound pretty different, so I'm excited to see what the rest of the album is going to be like. I still have a problem with the mixing/mastering. I'm hoping the entire album will be re-mastered as a whole, which might address some of the issues, but Amy's vocals in particular sound a bit too compressed. It's nice to hear a bit more variety in her voice, moving from the sassy, fun sound of the verses, to the triumphant and powerful bridge. Exactly what I enjoy in Ev's music. The singles they've released so far weren't like the final thing?

Finally got proper speakers and this song is FIRE, probably my favorite, dethroning WOY.

I think this is the most interesting song from TBT that we've heard so far. My only issue is the drums are way too loud (imo).

I felt that they all seemed to be mixed slightly differently, which I guess wouldn't be the case once they're mastered on to the same album. You can't have big discrepancies in the mix of each song because it'll make the album sound slightly disjointed. I might be wrong, though.

So I’ve been listening to this song on repeat since it came out and can now say I officially love it. It did take a moment to grow on me but I do think it’s quite possibly the catchiest song of their career. Catchy isn’t something I thought I wanted from Evanescence but they’ve definitely proved me wrong.

When i first listened to this track I loved the versus, but wasn't sold on the chorus, I just didn't think they blended well together. Since then I have listened A LOT, and now love the song as a whole, although The Game is Over is still my favourite so far. Yeah Right seems to be getting a lot of hate on last.fm, hopefully it grows on people. The singles they've released so far weren't like the final thing? I felt that they all seemed to be mixed slightly differently, which I guess wouldn't be the case once they're mastered on to the same album. You can't have big discrepensies in the mix of each song because it'll make the album sound slightly disjointed. I might be wrong, though. I completely get what you mean. I noticed this particularly with Wasted on You, especially in the versus, it sounds like a really bad master, which kind of dampens the potential of the track, I hope this is simply because the masters for the singles were done as a bit of back and forth during lockdown, and hopefully, as you say, the singles get remastered along with the album, which might happen in order to add transitions etc between tracks. I pre-ordered the vinyl, which is why I hope the final cut is as clear and smooth as possible.

I've given the track several listens and I can't get into it. I'm not feeling this one, boys.

This one really stands out for me - I had it on repeat whole weekend. As I have expressed, I haven't been really pleased with the direction they have taken with TBT, but regardless of its awkward name, YR is probably my favourite this far. Learning that this is an old song written with Will Science actually explains why I like it so much. After Fallen, I have loved the songs Amy has written either with Science*, Dave or Terry; the so called "band effort" I'm finding less enjoyable (that being, unfortunately, most of Ev3). I love how groovy this song is - it's neither too poppy nor too heavy, and the lyrics and music flow perfectly together. Amy's voice and style of singing couldn't fit it better, especially considering the sassy attitude of the lyrics. Even though I would like the new record to have more experimental and atmospheric vibes, I'm not disappoined in YR being a pretty straightforward rock song: the melody works perfectly in this format. *Taking into account also the material Will has produced for Amy I couldn't agree more. Her writing with just one writer are my favourites too. Terry was the perfect writing partner, the same goes for the other collaborators (Will and Dave). Ev3 is not the most enjoyable record for me personally because of its heaviness and how rushed it sounds to me, given they had to scrap a whole album's worth of material the year before and start over from scratch. I'd love to hear that Lillywhite material in its original form, but I don't think we're getting it. The songs will be revamped to fit into the next albums/projects. Amy's description of the sound then was interesting and I would have loved Ev had gone that route rather than what they did with the final third album. This is their label's fault though. Ha. Her work with Science is so interesting because it's experimental and this is what I love about Ev's sound rather than generic rock. What I'm missing in the new songs, as much as I love them, is hearing details like you hear on TOD with each listen. All the programming and effects are buried in the mix by the band (drums and guitars). This is what I feared about Nick producing/mixing the album. I've been seeing lots of comments about his bad mixing. When i first listened to this track I loved the versus, but wasn't sold on the chorus, I just didn't think they blended well together. Since then I have listened A LOT, and now love the song as a whole, although The Game is Over is still my favourite so far. I pre-ordered the vinyl, which is why I hope the final cut is as clear and smooth as possible. The song has been getting a lot of hate lately due to its "poppy" sound in the beginning. I think people didn't get that every song on TBT will be different and is meant to show all the band's sides.

It's a very small sample size (<10) on last.fm, I don't believe it would accurately represent how people truly feel about this song as a whole. For me, Yeah Right wasn't a grower. I immediately fell in love with it. This is so weird, because TGIO took a couple of listens for me to actually appreciate. One thing that does bother me about this song, and this has been a problem since Ev3, is that Amy's vocals are so not sharp/clean.. As if she's singing with a mask on or something. Does anyone know if this is done purposely or if it's just a mixing decision? @rarkpheonix, maybe?

nz I'm pretty sure it's the microphone she's using. I think it's supposed to make the vocals sound warmer or more raw but I agree - it tends to sound less sharp to my ears as well.

Oh I see, thank you for sharing that insight! I wonder if she used a different microphone at the Rock Falcon live show. The sound is so much better from those performances. Btw guys, Amy's been jamming the song and she's just as hyped as we are about this song. I hope to hear this song on the radio - it's so catchy!

Not sure if this should be an edit or a new post, but here goes. So, the Evanescence official twitter just liked tweets from fans asking for a sassy music video of Yeah Right and asking to release Take Cover! This doesn't confirm anything but I like that they're doing this - keeping us excited
