I'm actually really enjoying this tune. Especially once I read a bit of background on the lyrics, about the destruction of the natural world - Amy is playing Mother Earth, and BMTH's lead singer, Oli, is playing humanity. With the context of the lyrics, I love the song even more. And Amy sounds amazing!

WOW. Lyrically and vocally, this song is perfect. I believe it lacks some substance when it comes to the instrumentation. But even with that gap, it still managed to shake me. I hope this continues to be a part of Amy. I like those collaborations because they give us a different side of Amy.

Oli Sykes in a new interview with NME
----------------------- Love the words he used to describe Amy. He seems to be such a big Evfan

I think the thing I'm particularly enjoying is the softness and subtlty in Amy's voice. The way she sings 'you know you can't breathe on your own' makes the hairs on my neck stand up every time. I know I've said it a lot in other threads, particularly about Ev's new music, but I really think Amy's voice is at it's best when there's variety in it, and she explores a more subtle approach. It's easier to luxuriate and get lost in the little details. The belting is great, and it's powerful, but when it's constant it loses its power, and it can start to feel she's bombarding you with it. I really hope Amy's vocals have more peaks and valleys, and a wider range of emotions and vocal styles. Her vocal performance on this song really is stunning, and best of all, it's getting me more excited about Ev again.

There are moments in this song that just give me chills. She mentioned it being more difficult to sing "all breathy like that" on twitter but I'm so friggin glad she did.

It’s a gorgeous song, and I love the variety Amy shows with her vocals. Some of the background stuff sounds like it could have come from a 2020 version of Origin. Very atmospheric, and I love the theme of the song.
It’s got me really hoping we get to hear some more atmospheric music on The Bitter Truth.

I'm a little late to the party (November has been a tad rough lol)... but holy crap I love this song. Their voices blend SO beautifully.

I wish I saw this song getting a bit more love on here - I honestly think it's Amy's finest vocal performance for quite some time. Possibly ever. Hearing the peaks and valleys in her voice really warms my heart every time I hear it, and I really hope that the recording process for this song informs some of Amy's vocals for TBT.

I think this is actually one of her most popular collabs to date. The reaction I've seen online has been overwhelmingly positive. I've listened to it quite a few times since and I'm still getting nothing from it, so I don't think I will by this point, but I very much get the impression I'm in the minority. I would definitely like to hear more of this kind of subtlety from Amy in TBT though, vocal dynamic and the way the vocals were layered throughout T.O.D. is one of the biggest reasons why it still remains my favourite album of all time, but it all just felt out of place and the emphasis in all the wrong places on this track for me personally.
