I worked a 12hr shift yesterday and working another one today so I only got to watch the video hastily on the train home but TONIGHT I am. Blanketing up. And watching the thing properly. And aggressively headbanging in bed with my fluffy blankets and tea. Full review to come later xD Also, Amy in water? Well, that's a new concept for an Ev music video  |

Is this video what a bad trip is like??
Some of the shots were unsettling (mostly Amy's lmao). The one of her in the mask in the woods right after Jen driving spooked me.
Some of the shots were mehh, but overall I think I liked it?? I really like psychedelic visuals so this was pretty cool.

I had REALLY low expectations for the video since it's obviously filmed from their homes, but this turned out better than I thought it would! I could tell they really tried their best to make this a kickass video. I really appreciate that we got to see the whole band have a ton of screen time! While I totally understand that people may not have wanted PR Brown to be involved since he has a distinctive style that many don't care for, I think he was the best choice for working from home. Since he loves doing a ton of artsy effects, he can work with just about anything the band submits to him and make it flow well enough.
Also... when Amy looks in the mirror and sees herself with all her black hair over her face = major The Ring vibes and I AM HERE FOR IT.

I got a bit of a vibe of Jen being in Amy's shadow a little - perhaps living there deliberately. Or maybe trying to live up to, or figure out, what's expected being another female in the band (and with Evanescence's history).

Just watched the video and reading comments. Pretty much what I liked about it has already been mentioned and I'm already forgetting things. Um, but I don't know that anyone mentioned the growing fingers bit. I thought that was kinda cool. Lol of course the falling into the water, but I cheated by seeing the IG post shared here first of the behind the scenes. I think it was cool how they did the effects with a green screen in their own homes. I am also really digging Amy's hair in this video. Kinda messy, but when she pulls off the mask and it all goes poof! Lol I'm weird. T bh, I'm not too familiar woth the other members here (except Jen, the other female, which I loved the special effects with the shirt removal too. A bit weird and wasn't sure where it would go, but was pleased woth the result), but so I don't know the gentleman with the green screen hovering over the canyon. But the still posted in this thread was cool looking. I'll have to look out for it next time. Final thought-do always actually liked how the song ended abruptly and the video end was perfect!  Edit: yes, I could fix all the "typos", but I won't cuz I think you can still make sense and it's just this stupid mobile. I KNOW how to spell with. Lol |

So the audio video has been taken off. Why didn't they just release the music video with the song? The YouTube marketing wasn't good IMO. Two days apart for each video. Would've been better to release the audio and then the video a few weeks later or just release the music video and a lyrics video.

Shin Agreed. Personally I'd have maybe teased the video a week before and then release the music video and audio at the same time. That way the first time most people are hearing the song is the full works (audio/visual) and they can immediately hop on the train to work/step in the car etc. and it's there ready in audio format on Spotify etc. to get stuck in their head for the rest of the day. I also probably wouldn't have bothered with an audio only video on Youtube to encourage people to put views on the music video and get that trending, but I know with some distributors it's unavoidable and some people actually prefer listening to audio on Youtube without the video.

It's frustrating because there's so much potential. Here's hoping that when the album is officially released, these two videos along with any other singles off the album will blow up. The songs are in some sort of voting things on atrl Lord's top ten and both songs are making their entire with WOY being on that list longer obviously. However, I just don't understand why it ain't translating to more views or promotion. The audio version being removed hasn't helped tbh. But for some reason the songs in US are all dipping (Kworb) and I don't understand why that is. TGIO is up to #7 from #10 on itunes.
