I am very excited about new music! Also trying to be open minded about the cover, but teeth have always really creeped me out so it isn't easy

I've seen a couple great examples of using their OG logo and I think it could work? Either way it's cool but it would be nice to see the nod to their logo. These are much better! The original is still cool though.

I'm sure you could incorporate the old logo and make it look cool, but these ain't it.

But I'm happy with new music, I'm so excited it's crazy to sit down and think about anything else now. Edit: I quoted the wrong post. I do like the fan-made mock ups better than the official album cover art.

But yes, like I said the cover is cool, I do actually think the concept is neat and VERY different which makes it more exciting for me. Just wish the E logo or Evanescence font made it into the cover. I love the name of the album. It's all very exciting.

It’s so wild that when an actual date is put in front of us...the idea of new music doesn’t seem like a fantasy any longer. I know some were probably close to giving up hope, especially these days. But I’ve always had faith. Even if Ev doesn’t always give everyone what they want...I know there have been some disappointments, I know they do their best for us fans, and their heart is always in the right place. They care so much and are willing to do anything to put out their passion into the world. That is a one of a kind group right there. When the years go by and Ev is nothing more than a distant memory, there will never be another band like this. Ever. I wanna say a group for a previous era that probably had a similar impact, with a particular kind of uniqueness, that is a once in a generation experience...is Queen.

Really, really, really unnecessary and disrespectful... If Evanescence want to change their image a little, let them do it... Even, What If Amy want to departure from her clasical image and want something more raw?

There are literally millions of fan edits of Amy and Evanescence all over Instagram, tumblr, etc... they are all disrespectful? Bonkers.

I'm hoping they comment on the logo design at some point, but knowing Ev and Amy in general, there is usually a meticulously crafted reason for most artistic decisions. If this is a decree of their evolution into an entity the band wasn't in the beginning, especially with the current lineup and freedom from Wind-Up, I can totally get behind it. They didn't use the old logo for Synthesis. If this new song defies expectations, it'll probably fit with the decision to discard the old logo.

Yeah I'm personally not crazy about how the cover looks with the regular logo. HOWEVER. I feel like it'd look awesome with the Ev EP/Origin era logo because it's got a rougher appearance. But yeah, I'm assuming it looks different because they want to step away from looking similar to the kind of "goth" image, as some people have said before. I think they wanted something less whispy and more stern, especially since the music is supposed to be heavier. Since the album's called The Bitter Truth, I'm expecting bluntness, and I think the cover demonstrates that. I'm really excited about everything.

I think it's very 90s grunge so it might have worked.

I've seen a couple great examples of using their OG logo and I think it could work? Either way it's cool but it would be nice to see the nod to their logo. I saw these as well. I thought the font wouldn't fit the picture, but it does. Maybe they are indeed stepping away from the gothic imagery. Cool if that is the case, I like their gothic style but I'd like to see something different for a change. Ev3 already sounded and looked a bit more raw. I agree with Matt. Amy never liked of being associated with goth. She likes the dark stuff, and that's all. The album cover is strange to me, but I'm slowly getting used to it. It's very 2005 as someone put it on Twitter. Lol. I thought they would get rid of the E logo/font for Synthesis only, as it was more of a passion/side project. Are we counting TBT as the fifth album, right? To me Synthesis is the fourth. I'm really curious about the album's sound and direction. I know it's gonna be diverse, as it has TOD/weird vibes. And I'm hoping they will get a better mixing engineer, because Ev3 and The Chain's mixing is so bad! Am I aiming too high to hear any unreleased 'broken record' song on the new album? Haha. I wasn't a big fan of the wall of sound in Ev3, I like the attention to detail in TOD. So I hope they find a good balance between the two in this album. Idk about PF, would be nice if it made it, but I get the feeling they're not adding anything preEv3. Hope I'm wrong, I would like to hear some of the songs that were discarded by dumb WU, I'm sure they are neat. There are just so many possibilities.

I'll be completely honest: I'm not feeling this album cover at all. It looks like a metalcore album from 2008
I am both excited and nervous for this album. Excited because new music, the first album (of new material) where the band has complete creative freedom, and getting to see how much the band has matured/mastered their craft. I'm nervous because I didn't care for the last new song (Imperfection) or their cover of The Chain, the mixing on Synthesis and The Chain not being great, and the possibility that my music taste has just changed so much that this type of music no longer does it for me.
I can't wait for those "Open Door vibes" Amy mentioned in her AMA tho

Wells, that producer participated in a handful of songs for TBT, and Amy did mention that the first songs were produced by Nick.
