Not sure how I feel about the song. Amy's parts are cool but I'm not feeling Ice-T. Not calling it bad, but not my cup of tea. Second half of the song feels better/stronger than the first half but does't feel worth going through the first half to get there. I think I'll keep my excitement for the new Ev single.
Edit: I've given this a few more listens and it's growing on me to appreciate it more. I still don't love it and the intro sorta makes me not want to just play the song or leave it on repeat to maybe get used to it. I also find the very end vocal part to be sorta awkward. I really do love Amy's vocals in the chorus though.
The structure of the song is also bizarre to me. Amy's part feels too early and I feel ready for the song to end after the rap verse/chorus that follows but then another verse comes in and it makes me sorta frustrated for some reason. It doesn't feel right.
This one has been interesting to digest.

It's different. I don't know why but I reminded me of Lacuna Coil at times. I like it but I want to hear the backing vocals a little bit more clearly but again that's to do with the quality of the file. Amy's part is too short IMO but it is a Collab so can't expect much. |

Wow. Some thought provoking stuff here. I can't listen to the whole interview at the moment, but this sounds like a good album for a lot more reasons than just Amy being on it. Anyway, I'm glad she got this opportunity to do something completely different. It's gonna sound great.

I love the song!! It's got that early 00s vibe to it and kicks butt! I have a feeling the next Ev album will have a similar theme - make the most of life with the people you love and don't waste your precious time.

It's a resounding 'meh' for me. Love Amy's vocals (as always), and I love her bridge, but the song itself isn't for me.

I didn't really enjoy the song, not my thing. Loved Amy's vocals though!
Amy's got credits for writing according to the song's credits on Spotify, but I don't see it on her BMI's repertoire. Or she was mistakenly credited.
Gladly - and hopefully - Ev's fifth album won't sound like this.

The message was nice and painfully relevant. It's really interesting though to hear Amy in this rap-metal/nu-metal context but yeah the rest of it was a little bit of a miss for me. But I am going to listen to it more it's still pretty cool. Regardless of how this song went I've gotten to check out a lot of Body Count and I'm becoming a fan of some of their stuff!
