It was a fantastic show! I’m so glad that I made the drive out there and suffered through the weather. The second Amy came out I completely forgot about my aching body and long day. The setlist was fire. Imperfection, Disappear, Sweet Sacrifice???
If you guys are interested, I recorded the ENTIRE hour long Rockville set on my iPhone and uploaded it to YouTube. It's not spectacular footage as I was a small bit aways and the lights/fog effects were a bit hard to see through, but it is decent video mostly. Audio is really good though. I recorded each song as it's own part, for a total of 13 clips.
Seeing Terry again make a surprise cameo was amazing! Too bad he didn't stick around for CMWYS right after it. Also, I'm pretty sure this was a one off performance of Sweet Sacrifice. For those who are unaware, Terry lives here in Jacksonville, hence Ev's history mentioned by Amy writing about half of TOD out at Jax Beach. Last time they stopped by for the Synthesis tour in 2018, they invited Terry along backstage and had a mini reunion.
Also, I got very lucky and saw the band's tour bus pull up at the Rockville venue (Metropolitan Park) at just about 2:15pm. (I had been sitting in my car for 4 hours by then waiting for the day to pass - got their early for the parking). They parked just inside the gates for Daily's Place. They literally parked just on the other side of the end of my row, about 6 parking spots away. At the time, I initially wasn't 100% sure, but it was very likely since the only bands to show up that late would have to be performing later that night. Since I wasn't sure how long they'd be on the bus before disembarking, I kinda looked away for a few moments. When I looked back, I saw a group of three people with backpacks walking by I didn't quite recognize, then members of the band. I saw Jen walking around (probably asking about where she had to go for her signing - which was delayed to 4pm), I saw Troy zip past with a bunch of rolling suitcases and such, and I also saw A LOT of Will outside chatting with a SAFE employee for about 3-5 minutes or so (from what I guess looked like directions to the venue - probably about Terry showing up is my best guess) I could hear his voice, but I couldn't make out what he was saying, just his hand gestures. I also believe I saw Amy's bodyguard for a brief moment. Unfortunately I didn't see Amy or Tim. I don't know when or if they came out anytime soon, and or if I had already missed them, because it started pouring rain an hour later and my dad picked me up and took me home for the next couple hours before dropping me back off after the severe weather evacuation of the festival was almost over.
And yes, I have pictures to prove it. I'll upload them in a little bit.

^ I heard from a realizable source that Amy wasn’t up for being approached that day, so I commend you for keeping your distance.
Jen’s signing was really fun but super short. I wish I could’ve gotten more time to talk to her.
Festivals reeeeaaaaally aren’t my thing. I got a little bit sunburned and the storm broke my phone for about a day. Meh. The show itself was phenomenal though. First time I got to catch the very start of a tour, and signs of a new era beginning. Amy’s Nintendo Switch dress was awesome, haha. It looked comfortable and breathable. The whole band was on fire that night. Anyone there catch the TWLOHA tent?
^I live by the rule of "look don't touch/ disturb". I just stayed in my car staring at them. I didn't dare go near to mess with them, as they were off doing their own business and didn't need me interrupting them. Plus, they just got there and nobody wants to be messed with right after they get somewhere, especially when they are running a bit late. When leaving, I also didn't stick around like a creep. As you mentioned, I didn't know if the band would be up for it, especially Amy, so I was satisfied enough with a look at the bus and left. I also didn't have any clue as to how long it would be before they returned, and I definitely did NOT want to get stuck in traffic when everyone flooded out an hour later from Korn.
I am sooo glad the rain held out for the rest of the night, outside of a light rainfall during The Crystal Method right before. The lightening overhead was neat. Was it just me, or did Chevelle's hour set feel like it took forever to end while waiting for Ev to start?
Sorry to hear about your phone. When my dad picked me up, I had to run from my car to his through the worst of the rain, absolutely soaked the entire front half of me, plus stepping in some like 4-6 inch deep puddles through the parking lot made my shoes water logged. I had my phone semi wrapped under my shirt, thankfully it held out enough. Had to strip when I got home and throw everything in the dryer for like an hour. I then freaked out that the festival might get cancelled before seeing EV because the breaking news flashed across the tv in the family room while I was waiting. Thankfully it didn't! I would have been really upset, and I know the band would have been sad too, not being able to play the first show of the tour. (First time for me as well being at the first stop on tour!)
Festivals aren't my thing either. I was only there Friday (and the 2012 Rockville) for Ev. Like you, I totally agree about the show and her dress! I loved the dress, and it's totally 'her', lol. As far as the show, I have to definitely agree that it was phenomenal! Great way to start off the tour with a nice little half set "warm up" right out the gate. They sounded AMAZING! I didn't catch the tent unfortunately, I basically just came and went for the band.
I put the pictures up at my Facebook. Hopefully you'll be able to see them. My profile is usually set to private, but I made the post public. I tried to link them to here. Hopefully the images aren't too big on the page.

I was browsing around YouTube and I came across a new interview with Amy (backstage at Epicenter) that she mentions this show being crazy as a first stop, lol! Glad it was memorable! It's from about 2:10 - 3:01.

Jen just uploaded her tour blog on YouTube about this first segment of shows. She used some of my footage of the Jax concert! AND her blog also CONFIRMED that I did indeed see their bus pull up and park at Daily's place. At the time I had saw what looked to be a woman standing at the front of the bus as they pulled in, and the footage she provided is from her prospective. AHHHHHH!!!! 1:55 - 2:47
First show of the 2019 spring tour! And apparently Terry has joined the band on stage for performing Sweet Sacrifice 😍😍😍
I've not only watched these clips from the current tour, but other clips as well, and remain disappointed that Amy's vocals are not front and center, so to speak. I can't say whether this is attributable to the quality of the recording, or the quality of the sound engineering of the performance.
