Yes I know and they sound so terrible I can't bring myself to listen to Ev anymore, which is really saying something since I've been a fan since 2006. It's a little sad that's the only reason you are choosing to not go. I personally find her back up vocals great.. but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I am pretty sure the shows in general will be worth while going to, even if you aren't a fan of Jen's back up vocals.

I know I shouldn't fuel the fire, but just saying that Jen's vocals have been adjusted since the first show. She sings less in some songs (e.g. in Swimming Home), and also her mic volume has been turned down. I'm not a fan of her voice either, but the vocals are now at least better than in the first show, and they don't bother me as much anymore.

So, I think my husband and I might go after all. I noticed watching the live show in Houston on Youtube that I couldn't hear Jen as much as I originally thought. I know some other fans might give me slack for my opinion, but I have always been an honest person. I was born with perfect pitch and it is very hard for me to ignore when someone sings or plays an instrument out of tune. It's both a curse and a gift. I hope you all are enjoying the Synthesis tour and I'm looking forward to my turn
