The problem with Your Love is one that isn't up to her on the release and two she's been asked that question a billion times already.

YL was from 2009 and Amy said it wasn't intended to be on any album. I think Steve may have been mistaken (as Lycrymosa has said) because of the fact that If You Don't Mind is from TOD era as it was a b-side for TOD.

and three, Amy says we're not missing anything with it so it probably won't get a release. And four, Amy said we would probably have to wait forever for Your Love in the AMA on reddit.

Someone could have edited that in there. We've had the happen before so I wouldn't trust it.

Whenever a movie with Amy is coming out, someone always edits it and says Your Love is part of the soundtrack. I think it's safe to say that it will not be coming out.

Well, the Dave Matthews record was a strange situation. With Evanescence, I suppose that I was interested in the idea of Amy [Lee] as a great artist. When I was involved there weren't really many band members involved, so the record was a really interesting combination of electronic sounds, but it didn't have any power chords. I like that. Very rarely do you hear any power chords on records I've made. I suppose I was interested in seeing how she could take her music in a new direction. Maybe I was wrong, but I was thinking, "Does the world really need another Evanescence album that sounds like Evanescence?" I don't know — maybe it did. But what happened was a few people lost their nerve. I don't even think it was her. It was people at the record company who really had no other band. They were thinking more in terms of the commerce rather than the art.

I don't understand why Amy didn't just finish recording this and release it. Especially now that Windup is out. They have so much material just waiting around, and Amy even said a bunch that they have a pile of stuff.

I don't think we'll see this material in the new 5th album, maybe in a solo album or soundtrack. In 2015 she said she plans to finish some of those songs and release them, but we don't know when... I hope she keeps this "plan" in mind. Haha. I'm dying to hear Perfect Dream and hoping it will eventually see the light of day.

I feel sad for Amy because she was being true to her art back in 2010, and the label rejected the album and wanted a "Fallen part 2." In many interviews she said that even though it sounded different, it was indeed an Ev record. "It wouldn't be an Evanescence album if it didn't sound somewhat like Evanescence."

As for the new album, I'm afraid Jen will bring a more heavy metal influence to the band. I'm into more experimental, alternative, indie music at the moment.  I listen Synthesis more than the other albums. I hope Take Cover finds a home in the 5th album though. And I hope Amy didn't move away from the "broken record" after all these years.
