The band is being suspiciously silent. I just have this mounting feeling that they have something up their sleeve that will blow our heads off when they do unleash it. Hoping for a music video. Haha

Take it out on your whole fandom though? I think only a few people here refrained from listening to it. The rest of us are just as much assholes and the person who leaked it, or in reality, just rabid fans frothing at the mouth from excitement to hear new material. And all the adoration and praise from the reception of the song wouldn't merit silent treatment if you are mature enough to deal with the current climate in the music industry.
I don't condone leaking at all, but with their previous experience with it, they should have half expected something like that to happen if they distributed to radio stations or wherever and however someone got a hold of it. I think the only sure fire way to come back from that and make everyone lose their minds is to drop something kick-assier than what people expected. And I am ready to lose my mind, so i hope they do just that.

I think they're just busy. Jen is doing stuff related to her InZENity album, Amy is wrapping up work on Synthesis, and who knows what the rest of the band is up to.

Jen also has this guitar summit in Mannheim from today till Sunday. She definitely won't be around for Synthesis promo until next week. |

I'm sure we'll hear something official until the next 3 weeks. be patient guys.  lol funny or not it's the truth. today is still 8th. even if they announce it in two weeks from now, on 22th, it still wouldn't be that late.  but the possibility of a music video is high imo. that track and more importantly, the album really deserves at least 1 music video. |

Maybe they're waiting to release it so late in the year, during tour, so that they can release a bundle with some behind the scenes footage and a recorded show from the same tour? |

Haha My thoughts as well, there has gotta be a reason. I mean personally, as crappy as leaking is, I thought Imperfection would have been on Itunes quickly after it happened. I think we do have something insane though in store when it does happen. Maybe music video, lyric video, or album preorder bundles? |

Originally, I thought it said "the world is on it's shoulders", which in hindsight doesn't actually make sense, but in my head I was interpreting it as the world is on it's last legs (meaning, had enough). But after seeing your post, I listened carefully, and I'm with you. I can hear her singing "her" as well. |

I say we flood Youtube and report any and all videos of the song so that they all come down. RALLY TOGETHER, TROOPS! I agree they wouldn't have leaked it unofficially if they were going to put it out they would have done it properly on their youtube channel. You are absolutely right about them losing money from the leak. I unfortunately saw it on fb on a fan page and didn't see the youtube author so I won't be watching it again as tempting as it is. Last time I saw a Facebook page trying to sell unofficial Merchandise I reported it to evanescence website in the contact support... not sure if that did anything tho. On youtube you can't report the copy right infringement unless you are the owner that is being infringed upon. But surely there is a way to flag it for review or give Ev management a heads up to do so. Do you guys think that "copperphone whisper track" post was about this song? I'm not sure because I only listened to it once. but If it was this track then what they have done is used two microphones one normal and one copper phone and mixed them together. So it won't be as noticeable but still create a low fi old time effect. If they used only the copper phone on a track you will be able to tell. I recommend checking out videos of youtube to hear what different instruments and a voice sound like when recorded through a copper phone I found them pretty interesting. It will give you a better idea of what to listen for. |
