I'm extremely excited to hear Never Go Back and End of the Dream. It'll be weird for these to be stripped of their rock elements, but there's so much room for powerful, epic orchestration!

I feel like I'm the only person super excited for Hi-Lo. I'm glad we get to finally hear it. It's always nice to finally hear unreleased songs we know about.

With all the speculation of Perfect Dream being the second new song, I completely forgot Hi-Lo was even a contender. I'm really excited to see how this one turns out, especially since Lindsey Stirling makes a guest appearance. With it being on the album in between Never Go Back and My Heart Is Broken, I feel like it might be a bit more fast paced which seems pretty cool with the orchestra being involved.

I am very excited for Hi-Lo too, especially since hearing Lindsey Sterling is involved! I've been so curious about this song, I cannot wait to hear it!

So do you think she had to re-work the vocals for "The End of the Dream" so that she can perform that beast live? She's said that it would be incredibly difficult to perform, but I'm thinking maybe it's because she has a whole band to belt over? I feel like that song is one she would have to conserve a lot of her energy for.

Maybe you're right. I've been thinking this whole time that the live show is going to mirror exactly how the track listing is set up on the album. I realize that's very unorthodox, but I'm guessing they laid out the songs as they are on the album because that's the best way the songs flow, so to change it up live may put a bug in the wheel. They can probably rearrange certain tunes if they have to cut the set short. So do you think she had to re-work the vocals for "The End of the Dream" so that she can perform that beast live? For a while, they've been playing anywhere from what? 17 to 21 songs in a set? This time around, there are presumably 13 vocal tracks. It's probably pretty unorthodox to play a set that mirrors the album being promoted, but Synthesis is kind of set up precisely for this purpose. With everything flowing together sort of like a soundtrack, I don't see them changing anything up....I got the impression that some intros and outros between songs will flow into one another. The tracklist itself seems deliberately set up similar to one of their live setlists with the piano-heavy songs clumped together. And as you said, it might flow better this way. I didn't even consider the notion that they might deviate from the tracklist. I feel like because it's such a specialized theme, the tracklist and setlist are probably going to be the same. I'll be surprised if it isn't.

I know I'm a downer, but I would have liked to see some more variety in the tracklist. I think Amy said they reworked their "most loved" songs, but as a long-time fan who watches all live shows in Youtube etc., I would have preferred a bit more rarity in the songs. I'm thinking the band felt forced to include MI and BMTL in the record, but I personally don't feel much passion for those tracks, and it wouldn't have hurt my feelings a bit if they had left those two out. Additionally, my thinking is that some of the songs, even though they are great and beautiful, were a bit too easy picks. By that I mean e.g. Secret Door, LiP and Lacrymosa that already have if not a full orchestra, at least the strings strongly in place in the original tracks. The songs that I'm really happy about are NGB (their heaviest song reworked - it's gonna be perfect) and EotD (never heard live yet). However, when it comes to tracks like Imaginary, Your Star, and Lithium, those have been played basically in almost every live show lately, and they start to feel a bit overplayed, even though I really like those. What would I have wished then? See some examples below... Sweet Sacrifice - It's an obscure track and almost never played live, I believe it would have been very interesting The Only One - Atmospheric and also not played live My Last Breath - Fav song to many fans but not played live anymore so it would feel fresh Whisper - Big, epic track that would have blown everyone away especially with reworked/more mature vocals Oceans - It's a dark track and I would imagine it had sounded really cool reworked Not that I wouldn't love every second of the upcoming album - I just feel they have so many songs that would have the potential to sound way more interesting than MI for instance

Other than the new songs (and BMTL), I'm excited for these: Never Go Back Lacrymosa The End of the Dream Imaginary Lost in Paradise Your Star My Immortal
And not so much for these: My Heart Is Broken Secret Door Lithium

The tracklist is like a combination of my least favourite songs... which in a way is good because maybe their reworking will make me appreciate them more and like them more now instead. Though I was really hoping to see My Last Breath, Taking Over Me, and Snow White Queen on there... but that was wishful thinking.

I'm really underwhelmed by the song choices, but like you say, I could end up loving the reworkings of them, so we'll see.

I think this tracklist is pretty great and I'm looking forward to it! For me my most anticipated track is actually...The In-Between. I'm a sucker for good piano solo songs.

I think those choices would have worked perfectly with the project. I also think Together Again, and Missing would have been cool on this. I am still holding on to hope their will be bonus tracks maybe after the release...or who knows? Since Amy loved the project so much maybe she will record a few more tracks... but.
