I have a story to tell here and it won't sound real but please just read I had a meet and greet with the band today. It went fantastic! I met Amy, broke down, and told her that I was planning on doing something stupid until I heard an early version of Imaginary that had the lyrics 'if you need to leave the world...' in. Just hearing her say that made me feel supported in a way that my own parents don't even understand. She was wonderful and supportive, and I genuinely felt like I mattered for the minute or so we spoke Then, during the concert, she sings Imaginary and performs the lyrics and winks at me. I know it doesn't seem real, but it happened, and when she sang it I literally was crying. I know people say music saved their life in an exaggerated meaning but Amy and the band literally did for me and today has been the best days of my life. Wow! sounds so awesome! thanks for letting us know it too. I'm really glad to hear you've had such great night!

Probably my favorite thing about this band is the plethora of stories fans have about their interactions with the band members. It's acts like these- such simple gestures that can mean the world to a single person they don't even know...it's a wonderful, heartwarming change of pace in our current climate of political strife and intergroup chaos, so thank you for sharing! That was such an amazing way to convey to someone that they're loved and supported. I don't know you, but I'm grateful that you found the strength to hold on and that you're still here. I hope you never fall into such a dark place again, but if you do, I hope you feel much more love and support than you did back then. And I'm glad you'll always have this moment as a beacon of light.

No doubt they'll do something even more amazing in the near future for others too!

Goddamn For those who wanted to see a video (the performance is actually hard to find): When you know the story behind the change of lyrics, you can't help but smile and feel love towards her, damn. This was a great gift and she changed the lyrics just for you! That is amazing. It's an experience you will never forget EDIT: I'm still trying to figure out what Amy was wearing on june 14th: I mean I know, but like the thought process... Seemed to me like the scissors slipped when she was making the outfit.

Haha, I actually loved her outfit! It was really different for her. But I've always liked military-inspired fashion.

Oh man, one of my favorite things about their live shows is what she's going to wear. I've been especially into some of the "Evil Queen"-esque collars she's been wearing, but a lot of things have been so creatively odd and original lately, it's been really neat to see! This one seems a lot more of a departure from her typical style though. I'm really digging the cords and seemingly military style shoulder boards. But you're right....it would be really interesting to get inside her head and see what thought processes led to this.

I like the military style too, it rocks. I think she would look awesome with a ringmaster jacket, you know like in the circus. But I was talking about the way it's cut. No doubt that it's for her comfort but it looks kinda weird.

I actually would love to see Amy wear something like this on stage.

I had such an amazing time! In the queue I met Rarkphoenix and Vexing.Rune , plus some other fans and even though we waited ages to be let in just chatting with everyone was great. It makes me wish to meet even more ETers! In the soundcheck the band played My Heart Is Broken, Breathe No More and Say You Will. I've been to a couple of different band VIPs before but never seen a soundcheck and it was so fun and breathtaking! Then the band came to chat to everyone and sign things. I gave Amy a letter and a unicorn headband and she wore it for a little bit! I got the book from the vinyl boxset collection signed and also my Evanescence Valentines cards signed by Amy. So now it says 'Call Me When You're Sober' To Aless From Amy. Last thing was I said to Amy, I hope you bring the Synthesis tour to London! She replied saying 'I hope so!'. My first thought after seeing the Synthesis announcement was that Ev playing the Royal Albert Hall with an orchestra would blow my mind! So it sounds as if they're thinking of touring outside US for Synthesis which is awesome! So then the shows themselves, I knew Ev were great live already, but still they're even better than I remembered. I find them even better live than the song recordings in a way, the band put so much energy in and the live reworkings of some of the songs are intense! Breathe No More and Say You Will were probably my highlights for being unexpected. I was slightly sad Even In Death was not played, I tried to request the band to play it, but both nights were too good to complain in any way. The extra lines for Imaginary and acoustic My Immortal and The Change were a great addition too.
