It's pretty powerful and intense and the lyrics are so rad too! Angry Amy! All of my hate cannot be found, I will not be drowned by your thoughtless scheming...

I think I can hear the backing vocals after "Take cover" in the last verse saying "Because I'll have my way now", or something similar.
I'm just so flippin' excited about this song, though. Holy cheese!

I'm loving the riff in the bridge/last chorus. It's really metallic, but it still has that simplistic and distinctive Ev 'groove' to it.

THIS is what Ev3 probably would've sounded like if WU hadn't intervened.
Here guys, I found a much better recording of Take Cover!

Those lyrics seem to be pretty on point, though some don't seem to be what DeMarzi and Lycrymosa have written down but oh well. It's a live version and not a studio recording that we've heard so there's going to be some distortion in the recordings and words will get garbled or sound different, But they did a great job! lol. I'll take a jab at trying to decipher what she's singing. There are definitely backing vocals and it does sound like a growl/scream but that could be an effect or some instruments. I also hear the moog in this song. Pretty cool!

^That's a comeback lyrics right there. hehe.
Anyway, there people freaking out because Ev used a vulgar language in their lyrics. These people must not have heard Farther Away, unless they don't consider whore to be in the same vein.

These people must not have heard Farther Away, unless they don't consider whore to be in the same vein. People these days just have to be constantly offended by something. If it wasn't that word, it would be something else. I like the lyrics. You can't write an angry song and mind your language. It would sound halfarsed. It's good the way it is. Would totally replace "Die, MF, die" in my angry playlist with it.

Seriously? I feel like so many popular mainstream songs these days have much worse...

The most offensive things I have ever heard rarely have vulgar language attached to them, yet they are widely accepted. But that's a different topic for another thread for whenever anyone cares to discuss.

This is just the most fitting come-back single for Evanescence: angry because of the past, yet delightful of the future ahead. Seriously can't wait for a studio version, it's gonna sound so much better than the live LQ recordings of Amy's voice and instrumentation!

Oooooh, Rob likes these lyics Got a feeling she's been building up to writing that for a while. Sounds like an ultimate f' you to people in her life putting her down. Sort of reminds me of the same kind of themes as Sick, but a lot more personal and aggresive. If people are complaining about the use of 'bitch', I honestly think she could have been far, far worse giving the kind of situation she seems to be writing about. I know I've impulsively written similar songs when I've been close to breaking point, read the lyrics back later and actually been a little intimidated by just how brutal and hate-filled I was at that point in time. 'Bitch' isn't even in reference to anybody else, it's essentially summarising their attitudes to her. People need to get over themselves and realise that true art doesn't give a shit about what's socially acceptable or whatever, it's personal expression in its rawest form.

What a nice surprise! I desperately need a studio version of this! The guitar riff is everything! Anyone else hearing similarities between the verses of Take cover and the verses of Sick?

I'm a little iffy about the lyrics. Not quite sure I completely understand the song.
