Perhaps this thread should be retitled to "Lost Whispers" now that we have the studio version?
To be honest, I know it's just an intro and all, but I was still hoping there would be a little more to it. It's got such a wonderful, mysterious quality to it. It just leaves you wanting soooo much more! It's really a treat to finally hear it in studio quality though.

It's lovely but doesn't have the same vibe as the live version. But this is probably just been rushed with production. The volume level is lower than when it transitions into EID.

I never got to witness the live version in person and only had the low quality YouTube versions so I think the intro song sounds pretty good. I did think when it was first announced that they had turned it into a full 3/4 minute song but it's still neat.

I at first thought the same as darren. Then I though about it and came to the conclusion that it's probably just the intro as they never outwardly stated it was a whole song, just the "studio version of the intro". I like how they merged the intro into EID though. Amazing! |

I have a question for anyone who has bought and listened to either the vinyl version or the digital version (if you have only listened to a pirated copy, please do not reply).
During the second half of the song, when the vocals come in, has anyone noticed that the vocals sound a little crackly and sort of fade in and out. It could be an effect choice, but honestly it just sounds like it's badly produced. It sounds like the audio is clipping, like when you play music too loud trough crap speakers and it starts to distort, that's what it sounds like.
I have bought and listened to both formats and they both have the same problem. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed it too?
