Anyway, I LOVE this cover! Amy is such an amazing woman in everything she does. She never ceases to amaze me or give me chills in one way or the other. I love that she is branching out and showing us a completely different side to her. I love that this video gives a glimpse of her house and more of her studio. The emotion and movements she does when she records... OH MY GOD! This is why I always want footage of her in the studio. Hearing the emotion in the songs... I would just love to see her emotions and movements while singing them! I can tell you now that I love these videos because they give us a glimpse of this. Plus, they're amazingly done and the director has a great eye. I also see some teenage angst Amy in this video! lol. Now, please excuse me while I fan girl and bawl my eyes out with all the epicness and all the emotions I feel balled up into one extremely great and very good cry. Amy Lee is one amazing artist. I hope she never stops showing us her abilities.

When I heard the short clip of this, I was pretty bummed that the song sounded dark and haunting. I was hoping for something maybe stripped back and simple and different for her. But, once I listed to the full version, I LOVE IT. I love that she made it her own, even if that will probably be the unpopular opinion for many people. Sometimes covering a song exactly as it is can be boring, so I love what she did with it.

This cover has made me desperately want an Amy Lee solo album. She really shines on her own.

OMG! I love how these videos are personal in a way and she conveys the emotions so well. I love it! I can't wait for whenever she release a solo album. I love her take on things. Also, I love the videos. They're done so well.

Sometimes I dream in music. This dark version of U2's immortal song was playing in my head as I woke up one morning. I was lingering in that half-awake, half-asleep place, with no images- just darkness, this song, and huge emotions. As I was becoming conscious I just kept thinking "don't let it go, don't forget!" And I went straight upstairs and laid down the synth and basic vocal. I had the pleasure of seeing U2 live at MSG this year and it was powerful and inspiring. It made me excited to play live again! This track is still my favorite of theirs. Love is rarely simple, more often it's tearing your guts out. And I think that's why this song creeps into my dreams and haunts me. Enjoy!

I liked what she said in her post too... I also hear music in my mind while starting to wake. A different song every time. I thought maybe that was weird. Haha... Very soon I will probably wake to this song in my head. Wouldn't have it any other way! ^-^

These covers = HATER SILENCERS. This one is a little more of the dark, haunting "Evanescence" sound, but Amy is really out to show she is not just a one trick pony.

HO. LY. SHIIIIT. That was incredible! So dark and haunting. Just perfection! I loved the video too. Love getting to see a bit of the recording process. It really shows how creative and talented she is with all her different instruments. Ok I need to quickly put this on my Ipod before work so I can listen to it on repeat!
